Last Friday was the funeral for my 1yo nephew and his nana. . Today, my husband went to hospital. . He went for an appointment just to get another script for his nebuliser stuff and some prednisone, but the doctor said he was so bad that she wanted him to go to hospital. Most people blow over 400 in a peak flow meter, hubby was blowing anywhere between 150 and 270. Doc was worried that his lungs might collapse. . So now I am stressing that he will be ok, and also because now I am at home with all 5 kids by myself. Hubby was the best, he helps with all the things most hubbies dont do, cook, wash, vacuum, etc. Hubby has only been gone for a couple of hours and the kids are already sending my nuts! They really play up when hubby isnt here, he is the cranky one, the kids listen to him more than their own mother! So being without hubby for up to a week isnt going to be easy, I just hope the hospital look after him. Last time they sent him home early because they were worried he would get sick in hospital! So much for going to hospital to get better! . Fingers crossed, ay!

Im so sorry to hear about hubby... I send my sincere wishes to you and your family.
To keep the kids out of your hair, might be a good time to hire a few DVD's, let them pick what they like....works for my boys!

Oh no. I am sorry to hear that hubby isn't well.
Let's hope the hospital gets it right and he has a speedy recovery and will be home to you and the kids real soon.
I too know what it's like to have the kids only listen to hubby. I have 4 of the little treasures and they all seem to play up for me, but when dad's home its a different story.
Anyways, hope all goes well for you and things start picking up.
Take care.

hi hun,
i wish a better week for younext week as this week is just not your week! im glad to hear the doc found hubby's condition now rather than later, collapsed lungs would have been a worse senario for the both of you. he is in good care and getting good rest for a speedy recovery!
As a mum of 7 children - to help you sanity!!! and a little extra help turn chores , set the table, put washing in the laundry, pick up toys etc.....into a game , its done faster with more hands and less stress & work for you, use dvd, money , computer time , outdoor playtime, all as rewards, as long as they are kept busy they tend to squabble and irritate you less , and they really enjoy the reward... and if they miss being the winner of the game , they work faster to be the winner in the next game to choose the reward.....see how you go!.....my heart and compassion goes out to you & hubby, cheers . HUBBY IS HOME!!
.
In a way, I wish he wasnt. He started getting cranky when he came home. They shouldnt have let him out, he is still getting puffed doing the littlest of things. I have done everything while he was in hospital and it still doesnt seem like it was enough. I said, at least the kids are alive! (LOL) They have been fed, had nappies changed (the littlies), and I feel like I am going insane! Five kids by myself, I thought I was doing pretty good!
.
Just cant please all people all the time!
