Hello,
I recently posted a response to a post and a few hours later noticed that it had been edited down to one line....??
I was under the impression that l could only edit my post, especially as l was not offending anyone and was just posting my opinion...and responding in a very reasonable manner to a previous post............
???I'm confused.......

I dont think any member can edit your posts, I just tried after reading this and it told me I am not allowed. I think only Mr.PP can adjust your post, but not edit it. I have had problems when posting myself, wrong colour, font, etc. but I just keep trying until it looks right. Never lost text before. Maybe send a PM to Mr.PP?

Would have thought only you could edit your posts... but who knows??? I edit mine when I notice I've made a spelling mistake - they annoy me otherwise

I think moderators must be able to change posts, I know one revamped one of mine once before, and Kath just cleaned up the Saucy Fish forum as well so she must have been able to remove threads and posts?
Don't know really, just a thought.

It was me.
When a certain post is changed... often the subsequent replies are slighly edited (otherwise they wont make sense and could make you look silly)
eg
You make a post: "I think this and that"
Someone replies to you and says "Your post sucks"
Then you reply "My Post does not Suck"
I then come along and delete the "Your post sucks" post
...
So unless I edit the subsequent post the thread would read...
"I think this and that"
"My Post does not Suck"
(and people will think you have some sort of 'condition')
So if your post is changed.. it's only keeping the forum friendly :)
...even if your post was not the problem.
