Just an Off My Chest....
This morning I got an email from one of my past hostesses, she's another PP girl (not from here) - anyway, there is a huge Christmas expo going on for local PPs... and nope I wasn't told about it in enough time to register (not that there are any details on the flyer she's forwarded to me). She is having a stall, as are some other local PP girls she knows, but no one thought to tell me. There has been no advertising, no nothing, just an invitation to ATTEND the event as a guest.
I can't believe that people would organise something like that and not contact all local PP ladies they know to give them a chance. I'm not too concerned about not hearing about it, its more the fact that I have been emailing this lady back and forth since her party in August and she never ever mentioned it. Ever.
I thought PP girls and guys were in to help each other - its not like I compete with this woman in any way. I will definitely not be giving her my custom either. I'm just so upset as this would have been such a great opportunity for me or the other SF lady up here - I can't see our logo on the flyer anywhere so I doubt she is doing it.
Anyone who talks to me on a regular basis will know I go out of my way to tell people of events, ideas etc to help them out - I even contacted a PP lady in Melbourne when I heard on another forum of a big event which could help her out so she could participate. I try to help everyone and encourage everyone to do what they can to increase their business no matter what company they're with.
I am so hurt right now - how cruel to send me an invitation to an event I would have broken my neck to get to as a stallholder. What chance have I got to increase MY business if no one will help ME? I was thinking of organising a PP expo myself since we don't have them up here very often and had this person on my list to contact about it - well its not happening now.
I've had it with cut-throat consultants, I really have. If I wanted to work in that kind of environment I would have kept working, and been a solicitor by now (I have the degree, just not the post-uni qualifications).
People tell me I'm too nice to be a solicitor. Well maybe I'm too nice to be a party plan consultant as well.

Hi Lauren,
I know how disappointed you're feeling, something like this has happened to most of us long time PPers I'm sure. Try not to let it get you down - maybe your hostess thought you already knew.
Maybe if you contact the organizers and tell them what happened - and that it's their own lack of publicity that caused you to miss out (a bit more diplomatically of course LOL) - they may squeeze you in. Good luck.

That is disgusting, but some people are like that.
Just today I was phoned and told about a big one in APRIL next year, and I said to her, if she wanted some more ppers to have a look on this site for some!!! She was very grateful!!
