Why don't you put some of your flyers/catalogues under YOUR windscreen wipers and get a cheap sun visor thing (can't think for the life of me what they are really called, the silver things that fold out across your windscreen lol) and write a quick spiel on it. Go shopping for a day (good excuse) or park your car in the shopping centre car park for a day. You just never know it might get you 1 spa out of it...if it doesn't , at least you've tried!

I just had another idea...if you have a hairdresser that you always use, why not ask them if they would like to be pampered for a change? Even if you don't have a usual hairdress (like myself oops), go into a few and ask, the worst they can say is no :)

The car idea is a pretty good one, might try it while at the hospital tomorrow (a frineds daughter is having surgery & i am going to keep her company as she is scared)-might even be able to have a chat with some staff

A lady from Avon is coming tday to talk to me about avon so I am using that to promote nutrimetics as she said last night she wants to know when a certain perfume is on special.  BUT with our october special if she has a spa she could get it for $10 (special is $100 worth of product for $10)

Unfortunately i never go to the same hairdresser, optomestrist or doctor as everywhere i go has different people on and you get what you get!

Most of the whys are:

1. Dont like Nutrimetics

2. Dont have time at the present time (I try the feel felt found message for these people and it doesnt quite work)

3. Already had multiple nutrimetics parties for me (havent yet branched out of the family circle)

4. Just not interested at all.  No more.  Goodbye (who can argue with that!!!)

I put out a pamper basket to gain some leads but just found out today that the business hasnt put it out yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so mad as they have had it for a week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We rang on tuesday and they said they would have it out that afternoon.

I got a number for a lady wanting a spa but she gave me her work number to return the call and no last name AND ITS FOR A HOSPITAL so ofcourse they cant find her as lots of people have her name on that extension.

Good news: booked the Avon lady for a spa!! and she might be coming to the facial day!!!

But i still need about 4 more people!!!

Clare, While at the hospital today ask everyone!!!  You might feel like you are out of your comfort zone, but that is how you get your bookings! 

I would love to have a Spa... but I will have to wait until you are in Karratha!  (If I book now for January, does that count?!)

Leave some brochures/flyers etc in the waiting rooms of the doctors/ optometrist/ hospital/ dentist/ hairdressers, everywhere!  Even public notice boards are a good place to start.

Phone up some mothers groups/play groups and ask if they want a Spa one morning/afternoon while all the girls are together.  You will find that most will be interested!

I am sure you will be able to get your bookings!!!!

This site is full of ideas and lots of great ones at that !!!   ............. have you tried a search ???  Hints and tips..........

The booking are not going to be handed to you on a platter.  Also, once you meet this challenge don't think thats it.............it's only just begun, there will be more and more challenges.  And also dissappointments..........what if one of these bookings cancells??  What happens then, do you re-open this post begging for more bookings again??

I think you really need to be more realistic, because as nasty as this may sound, WE ALL NEED 2 MORE BOOKINGS !!  C'est La Vie!!!

Hi Clearbear,

I just wanted to give a word of advice from someone stuggling to get bookings too - "there is always a chance of cancellation even at the last minute so do not get your hopes up to high as the landing will be even harder". I speak from experience. Sometimes we aim really high ( this is a great thing ) but sometimes things happen for a reason and I just hope you are not put off in anyway if you do not meet the 8 party booking deadline. Just hink that you have 6 more than before having the challenge and from those 6 bookings hopefully will come at least another 6.

One thought is from those 6 bookings have a "booking deadline" for parties booked. E.g - 6 weeks from the party attended to hold the party. That way your parties will continue and gradually build up over a 12 week period.

I look forward to hearing how you go with your challenge and also with your booked parties.

Just keep them coming! No need to stop getting the bookings just because you reached your challenge.  As the others have said, there are always cancellations and you should be prepared just in case.
