market night and fetes/fairs

I have done a few school fetes this year with success only on the cash and carry side. As for party bookings I have not had any booked from them and also only 1 follow up order. I think it is one of those things where if it does not cost you much then give it ago.

When I was with jewellery pp I did take the range with me to a school fete and flet like I was on edge watching each and every piece of jewellery and vowed not to attend a fete again as they are mainly for the kids and mums fork out enough money by buying ride tickets, foods and fundraisering stall purchases for the school. But with my Story Felt range they are perfect as they are age appropriate products and I sold over $300 at one fete plus got into the school with a display in the staff room for teacher to buy their own resources.

As for market nights this would be more suitable for you pp products as they are often mum nights where mums can do shopping and pick up a little something on the sly for themselves. Having said that I have not attended a market night that has lead to anything or many sales but you do not know until you are there.

I now decide to attend or not by dding up the cost of attending. E.G - stall, donation, catalogues, fliers, product discounts and offers. Work out the total cost of attending and then work out how much product you would need to sell to cover costs and decide yah or nay to attending.

We had computer probs 90% of the time.. this in turn meant I couldn't demo our music... but still managed to do $100!!!

Fixed the computer prob & shouldn't have issues anymore.
