Well I am going for group leader this month but am low on party bookings.  Now the sales director has set a goal for some of us.  We have to have 8 parties booked for the next 4 weeks.  I only have 3 so I dont know how I am going to get another 5 when people just arent interested. So that ontop of having the flue i am feeling really down

good luck. try to think positive. i know that sound easier than done but it's meant to work. i was having a real slump and needed at least one booking to get things going again i got the courage and rang a lady that was thinking about it finally said yes and now have had 8 party leading from that with another 5 booked so fingers crossed all goes well.

The only suggestion from me is Don't try too hard.. Sometimes when we want something really badly, people can sense it and they back away.

I don't   know how long you have been doing nutrimetics for, but a team and your business is built one step at a time.

8 parties in a month is a lot and if you have onlye 3 that is fantastic..

Do the 3 shows and if your products and hostess program is good then out of those 3 bookings you should get 5 for the next month.

So when you do 5 next month , then bingo, you should have your 8 bookings that following month.

maybe you can go groupleader in a couple of months.. I am not sure how this works.

The bottom line is do not feel pressured or down as this gets you no where..

work the business one step at a time.....

Do Catalogue parties count? I am in Melbourne also so i cant offer to hold a party but would be happy to help if catalogue parties are acceptable.

I agree with Marina though. Try not to place any un due pressure on yourself to reach this target as it will happen given time. And it possibly less stressful to just wait to have those 3 parties and gain some bookings from those and build from there.

Hi Clarebear1983,

Do you have many past hostesses?  If you do, then perhaps you can ring them up and ask them to help you out.  Tell them exactly what you have told us, that you are going for Group Leader and you only have 3 bookings, could they help you out and perhaps you could offer a little sweetner, say $10 off or something.  If you are honest with them, you never know what may happen.  In my opinion, past hostesses are the best for new parties as they have alreadly seen the product and like it, also tell them to have new people at the party (so that you can get bookings).  Anyway hope that helps and best of luck!

Most of my past hostesses are family and they have said they would "love too but too busy"...........but I wll just have to keep trying.

Snazza: Catalogue parties dont actually count as bookings but it would help towards my group leader goal.

marina: thanks for your advice.  i will ring some people between now and friday but I am not going to put undue stress on myself.

hi hun,

another boost for bookings and sales is a letterbox drop, it doesnt have to be flash or professional and glossy, just something done on your computer to print off. introduce yourself and your products, specials if you have some, contact details and so forth, let them know you take orders also. pick a different suburb each week. you will be surprised sometimes at the response you get or single orders you accumulate. you also get your details out there, remember to drop off your material at preschools, churches, doctor offices/medical centres , hospital waiting rooms and the like, anywhere you can think of where people would sit down and read or browse whilst waiting, bus stops, trains, shopping centre notice boards. just get your name and number out there! and i wish you all the best!
