Well, what a day!
Started at 5am when I got up to commence the server upgrade.
(Was going to do it overnight... but there were too many of you online still at midnight!)
So.. we have two servers.. the old one (that everyone has been using for the past year) and the new one (got it yesterday)
My plan was simple...
1. Block the forum.
2. Copy everything from the old server to the new server
3. Put a message on the old server saying it is gone (upgraded)
4. Update all the internet providers in the world with the location of the new server.
5. Done - nobody noticed anything
Well in practice it worked! .. 70% of the worlds servers updated within 30 minutes. However, I think some still have not found the new server and still get an upgrade message (it can take up to 72 hours worst case). Eventually these people will see the new server like the rest of us.
Then, due to the upgrade and security features, no one could use smilies or fonts!
All fixed now (i hope)!!

WOOOO HOOOO Thanks for all your hard work Mr PP!!! I must have had one of those slow to update internet thingys cos i was chatting to people on MSN that were able to get on here earlier but i wasnt i was getting some sort of message about updating the DSN......wow didnt realise how addictive it is here until its not there - if you get my drift!!!! Ahhhh Its good to be back :)
