Does anyone in Perth know any shopping centres that let you set up a stall advertising your products (and possibly do trials) and allow people to buy products? and if so do they know how much it costs approximately??
Kelly replied:
I've never done anything like this before but the first thing i would suggest is to find out if your pp company allows you to do this. I'd approach centre management at the centre you are interested in and find out straight from them because different places will have different policies, prices etc.
Good luck with it!

Thanks Kelly. My upline said all i have to do is get prices and get people interested and the company would most likely give permission for this to happen. I just have to have prices and interest before it will get the go ahead.
Best go call and get some prices!!

Not sure what area you're in, but I'm up north near Clarkson/Butler and I've often seen Avon reps with stalls set up at the Ocean Keys Shopping Centre in Clarkson. I have contacted them and am waiting to hear back. If you want the phone number and contact details for them, just pm me and I'll pass them on.

Morning.
just browsing through and thought i would put in a little (if that is okay).
i have done a shopping centre in the past - depending on the centre management, ie, centro (quite a costly affair), hawaiian (fairly reasonable). held a display at the hawaiian centre close to me in bassendean - cost (if i remember) was in the vicinity of $250 (this was for a week) - i was able to sell quite a bit of craft, obtain bookings for demonstrations as well as workshops.
the smaller the shopping centre the less the cost. Give the local shopping centre a call and ask for their pricing. All the complexes ask that you have public liability insurance (they will require a copy of this).
Good luck - would like to know how you get on with this - i haven\'t done a shopping centre for 8months - got me thinking again.....

I know that alot of Centres require Public Liability insurance now so you may need to check with your PP to check if you can in fact set up displays. I have done one or two but haven\'t been all that good for us so are looking for other avenues at present...

oh, another idea....... local councils have fair days once a year (bassendean council opting out for 2007). in 2006 i held stalls at Belmont, bassendean, stirling, joondalup. each costing me about $60.00 (liability insurance is required, though some councils can cover you on theirs for an additional cost). i will be the first to admit out of the 4 only 2 were worthwhile for me, however, as i was new to this i figured what the heck at least the company name is out there and it made people aware - i gave out flyers (identifying who i was), a sample of the products, a carry back with other goodies in it. 12months on and (today) i get a call from a resident in stirling who has now booked a workshop and demonstration (2 separate dates).
just another idea to consider.
Cheers

Ocean Keys is $1100 for a week.. I know thats out of my range right now. I suppose it would be possible to share the cost maybe, between a few people. Which might work. But I know I can't afford it yet. Having just started, and pretty well all my capital is sunk into getting this Party Plan going.
clarebear1983 replied:
geeze I just had to pick myself off the floor also. That would be ok if you could get maybe 10-20 people together for a week. Or even two different party plans selling different things on different sides......$1100!!!!!!!!! wow wee! how expensive

hi there clarebear,
crafts that i do (teach, demonstrate & host workshops) is in scrapbooking, cardmaking and beyond the page stuff. Company is Crafty Kids (name change is happening.......YIPPEE). New name is Kaszazz.......
i too literally am picking myself up off the floor that is absolutely ridiculous. How do the centre managers really expect people to pay that sort of money. i know if i had that type of money for my business, i would be have a shop open. there are places that have rent cheaper than that on a weekly basis (obviously depending on area).

Clarebear,
Just called Centro (Dianella Centre Management) to confirm information that i had heard. I have just been advised by Centro management office (pm me for the name) that you can have a stall/display set up at Altone Park (provided you are non profit) for ZERO dollars...................yep "0".
something to further consider......
p.s. let me check on everyone before i commit to anything. I myself don't use makeup etc. But will come back to you.
Cheers
