Hi Everbody

I have my first party on Saturday and i need a little help just wondering if anybody has a script that i could look at to calm my nerves and talk on sturday.

Hi Shaz,

This is just a rough outline.

Introduce yourself,  Hi my name is Sharon I'm from..........................

Thanking the hostess by name and then thanking guest for being there. I then give the hostess a little thank you gift from me personally for hosting.

Talk about the company, maybe the history behind it ( this may not apply to you I think everyone knows the company you are with)

Play a game, have a small gift for the winner.

Then I start with the products, this has............., this does that............. (you get my idea), also during this time I discuss the benefits of hosting a party.

eg. Sharon will receive today a 1/2 price item , % sales etc (whatever your company offers) and for every party booking sharon will receive.......... ..(or for 1 party booking sharon will receive and for 2 or more bookings sharon will receive etc) this depends on what the company offers.

Explain how you take payment eg deposits, cash credit card etc, time for payment, delivery time etc.

When I first started I wrote out a speil with some of the above, you will be able to modify this to suit your needs, then I started speaking out loud the speil infront of the mirror, to the cat, dog, husband, kids, even when washing up etc,  whoever was around even infront of a friend or two.

The more you practice it each time it will become easier and will then become second nature to you. Then it will happen automatically  when speaking at each and every party and then when you are so confident with it, you may even change it from party to party due to new products or offers and just by changing it at the parties it makes it more interesting especially if you come to a particular party circle of friends.

I hope this helps
Wishing you much success for Saturday and all your parties.

I always find the shorter the speech the better it is. This seems to be attracting new jewellers lateley.

they like the business to be simple and the fact that we do not say much helps.

I now make a really big deal about the hostesses.. get her up the front and stand next to me so i am not the focus.

get everyone to applaud her and then she unpacks the hostess gifts and puts it on.. then everyone goes  :" oh wow"""  she is the centre of attention and loving it.

after that i will say  " and ladies  Jenny will need 2 ladies to book a show today so she will get more free jewellery and if we sell $500 she will get 3 items half price as well. If you see something you like just pop it into your shopping basket.

" Our jewellery is nickel free, the earring posts are 14k solid gold.

you can take the jewellery with you today cash or credit card or we can organise 2 week delivery.

Have fun and try the jewellery on.

this is it.. as the ladies are around the table I will tell them a bit more about the jewellery  etc......"

That is such a great way to sell it....I didnt think about doing the 2 weeks delivery bit...that would of been great.
Excellent Marina...good luck with it all girls

My presentation talk might be10-20mintues depending on the level of participation from the ladies helping with the demonstration, with shoes, handbags, wallets and jewellery, I not only involve the hostess, I also get a couple of the guest up to do a bit of a cat walk display and they love this as they all get involved and comment amongst themselves on the products and they always have fun with this.

I get the ladies to do their display of the products to give them an idea of what goes with what, I talk about payment and delivery. making a fuss over the hostess saying what the hostess will receive that day and with bookings what she will also receive, then I invite the guest to come and shop and help them with the sizing of shoes etc.

I only put the above ideas in that format so hopefully it would be understood, it isn't along  speech, with bags, shoes, wallets and accessories there is just a little more detail to the presentation.

With the container with seals products I would think the girls would like a little explanation about what each product will do. eg microwave or not etc.

cheers

1st.  -  What products are you selling??

Who is your upline?

Have you had any training parties?? / similar ??

Ask yourself these questions and more - by this time a few days before your first party, these nerves of yours should of been calmed quite some by your manager or similar!

Aah...Inga...Marina was not having a go at the length of your speech....she was just explaining that she prefers a short speech as do the customers who attend her shows...

From my experience...many customers comment of how wonderful it was that they didnt have to sit for 30 mins listening or watching a demo...but that they can get up to shop almost immediately.

But l understand that with some companies such as t/ware, enjo, etc...it is necessary to demonstrate how things work...

However...l love the fact that with jewellery...it virtually sells itself...

Everyone of course will do what suits them...that is the great thing about having your own business..and being your own boss...

ExMember148 replied:

Oh Kathie ! Yes, I try and do a quickie too, but you know , those customers want to see ALL I have and I have to demonstrate how things work too!!! The customers just keep saying more more more!!!

ingashoebiz replied:

Hi Kathy, thanks for that, I have edited my post.Yes our products virtually sell themselves also, its good to have such good products from so many companies out there that are like that.

cheers
