There are heaps of different software programs out there and you'll find that some do some things you want and other dont - & vice versa.. Prices vary from freeware, to shareware to very  expensive.

The link above is a free software program that was started by the founder of Mary Kay if I remember correctly. Its not too bad. I use it to keep track of somethings. Calanders, planners, tracks parties etc.

However I prefer a program that is not party plan based. I use MYOB mainly - also allows me to BAS and GST payments.  Some experience with it is a good thing though because you need to be able to set up your accounts etc.
