I am super excited as I convinced my partner today to let me get another dog! The mother of our current dog has just had another litter, and after a little convincing - he has agreed to let me buy another one... I am getting a gold cockerspaniel - female - and i've already named her Ruby!!!
(My birth stone is ruby, and i have red hair... i always wanted a little girl called Ruby -- if she was a red head of course -- but he didnt like the name for his daughter, so i comprimised and used it for my dog instead!!)
So - on this note, who has a special pet in their lives that they couldn't live without???
My current dog is named Cruize - see attached pic. He is 7 months old, and the biggest mumma's boy i've ever met!!! He doesn't let me out of his sight, and curls up with me like a real baby would. I love him to bits, and can't wait to get him his girlfriend!!! He'll love it. :)

I have recently convinced my husband to get another dog. One of my daughters friends from childcare came over for a play the other day and her mum mentioned she was giving away her dog. I already have a golden retriever x called Buddy who needed a play mate as he is very lazy. So my husband came round and we now have Bella a 2 1/2 year old groodle who is full of energy and should have been called Houdini as she is an expert at escaping and takes off. I am trying to train her to come and slowly getting there. This morning she woke me up at 6.30am barking. I went out to see what she was barking at and it was a hot air balloon. Then she got out twice, I finally found a solution to stop her getting out so I could go to work and not have to worry about her getting out. She hasn't been desexed and is on heat so that may be why she is desperate to get out at the moment. The first week we had her she was fine but this week has been a bit of a test. I have just spent $500 on a new wooden gate and lattice fence and she has scratched it quite badly. I should have got tubular fencing. Oh well, she is a lovely dog. I will have to give her lots of exercise to try and wear her out.

Our family consists of my 9 year old daughter and myself and our three gorgeous dogs....14 year old Fozzie, 4 year old Squeek and 4 year old Charlie...all boys and all maltese x terriers.....when it comes to dogs l have "sucker" written on my forehead...
Charlie was wandering on a railway line 2 years ago grand final day when he jumped into our car and never looked back....tried to find the owners but no one came looking for him, despite signs etc....so he was destined to live with us.........
We love them all equally even though they drive us nuts sometimes...and of course then there is Rosy our crazy, schizo cat....and 1 gold fish............we wouldnt be without them....l think having animals in a childs life teaches them much about responsibiltiy and also emotional attachments and how to deal with them....
We love our 3 boys...and 1 girl and wouldnt be with out them............even though they cost a bucket load to feed.................there cuddles make up for their naughtiness................

awww it is nice to see so many pet lovers! <3
This morning I am going to see the breeder and meet my little girl Ruby. I can't wait! I will try and remember to take a photo on my phone (through all the excitement) and post it later today.
Plus we are taking cruize (our current dog) with us so the breeder can see him and give him some hugs! I cant imagine the day something happens to my babies... i'll be so distrought, like someone has taken away my own human child!!
