Looking for a bargain getaway. You might of seen it on the current affairs show last week, it was 'secret' accomodation by lastminute and wotif. Well I needed a nights accomodation down the Gold Coast, and it happens to be the first night of the school holidays (I thought oh no the prices will be sky high). So I wanted to share this deal, some of you might be interested. The hotels are marked secret, but I can tell you where I got. For $129 Saturday night and $99 Sun-Thurs night - and I got the newly refurbished Holiday Inn - and am impressed!!!

My parents just visited my sister in Yeppoon (Near rockhampton QLD).
Her house is too small to sleep extra guests (comfortably anyway) so they had to seek accommodation elsewhere. They managed to get a waterfront/beachfront house for $350.. for 8 nights! That's cheaper than renting... and it can sleep 12 people!
(Needless to say.. my 3 nephews 'moved out' for the week and stayed there with their Grandparents instead)
