I suppose I should let you all in on our current 'secret' ...

We are implementing a new system on PartyPlan.com (hence our recent server upgrade)

You could think of it as MySpace, Facebook, Bebo, YouTube & Flickr all in one (but specially customised for Party Planners)

Some key features... 

Forum, Chat (with optional webcam and audio), Voting polls (members can now start their own polls too),  Groups with private forums (members can make their own themed/team groups and administer their own group forums/galleries), Classifieds (List items to Buy, Sell and Swap), Public events calendar, Member Profiles, Member Blogs, Photo galleries (private and public), video and music galleries, private messaging, instant messaging + more.

And.. It is already functioning!! ...I am playing around with it before officially releasing it.

BUT: I am undecidied whether to port memberships over from here to the new site.. or run the two sites in parallel... What does everyone else think?

BTW... This is a way better system than the one we recently released on PartyPlanWorld.com... so I will get rid of that site and use that domain later for some better community purpose

Wow!!! Sounds fantastic Mr PP! Is it possible to port the accounts from here to the new system?? that'd be a great way to do it, but if its likely to stuff things around for you then i guess it wont hurt anybody to have to make a new account. Would just make life easier to identify users with the same name rather than people then signing up on the other section with a different username and getting all tricky....

How long do you suppose til we can have a looksie at this new secret?? :P

This site is largely based on the facebook concept (profiles, activity feeds, friends, groups etc), but customised for Party Plan and Direct Selling!!!

Facebook is great for friends and family - but not so good for business.

I would just like to ask - for the people on facebook - could you please become a fan of my bucket babies page? i am only asking because that way i get some more free advertising! i would also recommend that if you have an at home business, you should ad a page, because more people will see it.

to be perfectly honest, i cant remember how i did it, but i think it had something to do with lhs of the page ads and pages. i'm quite sure that i clicked on that and then set everything up. although i didn't do a targeted ad, because you then have to pay for the clicks.

i hope this helps, but i'm not sure at all!
