Some of you may be aware that my Upline has just left to go on our International convention and has set me a challenge! I knew it was coming but was still a bit surprised when i saw the target she had set me.

Sell $4000 retail in September!

So, here we go.................Will let you know how I go!

Zammy replied:

Good luck with your challenge Kelly!
I'm sure you'll succeed with flying colours!

What plans have you put in place to reach your goal?

Kelly replied:

4-5 parties a week till the end of the month

1 fundraiser for a country playgroup

Plus i'll be doing my serivce calls as usual.

ALWAYS book more than you want to hold - allows room for movement.

All outside orders and catalogue parties are welcome.

Zammy replied:

Brilliant!
Sounds like you are going to hit your target with no troubles! Well done.
Let us know how you go.

Kelly replied:

Well I did four parties yesterday and heres how the challenge is going..................

$2300 sales!!

8 bookings!

3 sponsoring leads!

Zammy replied:

WOOHOO!
Great work Kelly, that's a fantastic effort for one day!
More than half way to your target already! You're going to blitz it!!!

renking replied:

WTG Kelly!!! We're not even half way thru the month yet & you're "full steam ahead" - that's brilliant news! I'm sure you'll surpass the target for September in NO time!!!

nixandbuz replied:

Wow Kelly, that is awesome!!  Congratulations, will have a look in the Focus to see how you did - or can you share!!

You must feel estatic about that !  Are you a Director?  Or are you in the running for one!!

Kelly replied:

Things were going great at that point until.......................... Where do I start????

One of my hostess had a bit of a personal meltdown and cancelled her entire party (this made up more than half my sales!). I wont go into detail about her problem. I did however ring each of her buying guest to make sure they were ok with what she had done, which btw is how I found out her problem.

After that my confidence plummetted as I'm sure you'd understand and the rest of the month was a bit of a (how do I put this) mess. Oh well these things happen and we move on.

Yes, Nixandbuz I am almost a director and this month is going to be up to my usual standards.

It just goes to show that no matter how experienced you are in this industry that you can't control everything. I could sit here and stew on it but there is no point. I'm over it.

nixandbuz replied:

Sorry to hear that Kelly, it sounds like you were doing really well!!

Never mind, pick it up again soon.

Life is like that isn't it, this month would have been a great month for me to run for Director but so far have had two parties canceled.  I put alot of attention into a lady who really let me down, now she wants in again and its like... anyway, like you say... move on!

Anyway, today, popped into Brumbys to pick up morning tea for a friend and the girl says nice perfume you have on so did my speel and handed her a brochure, her mum used to have lots of perfume parties so got her phone number only to give her a call tonight!!  Can't wait!

I am thinking alot more positive now, bookings bookings bookings!!

Anyway, hope things pick up for you.

Hi Kelly,

Party plan has its ups and downs and customers can let you down.

When i have difficult times I always say " if it was easy everyone would be doing it"

I guarantee as soon as you do your next party you will have that high again.

Have fun!

ShelliRL replied:

Oh no, Kelly!!  What a bummer!!  You had some great plans, though, and were off to a really good start!  Hope this month is a heck of a lot better for you!
