At an actual party in someones home you need to suss out what sort of crowd it is first, this usually works best with the ladies that are having a sip of wine as some of the answers can be hilarious!!
You just simply call out letters of the alphabet and the first person to shout out a body party begining with that letter wins some auction dollars!!!
As you can imagine the responses can be quite funny. Its a great ice breaker

I play this one at most of my parties as an ice breaker. If I've done a party for the same crowd of people before I don't play it as I already know what the temperment of the guests are like.
As an adult party plan consultant this is a fantastic game to judge what type of crowd you have and can be quite funny.
I have learnt some new rude words and also ones that I haven't heard since I was a child.

Shows you how often i enter into this area. As I never saw your question until just now LOL!!! Sorry Im not normally so slow.
Anyway Auction dollars, were just amounts on card that i would hand out. I use to use $50 lots but you could use any. Then at the end the person with the most collected in Auction Dollars obviously stood a better chance of winning the overall prize. Back when i did this post I was with Saucy Fish so it was a basket of goodies I had done up including one or more of most of our product catergories. I then had two smaller prizes as well.
One by one i would ask people to start bidding on the item shown and whoever bid the most won.
Usually auction dollars were gather from playing 2 or more games.
