Im sure from post that i have written and answered in the past you will know that I like to keep busy  - hold at least 5 parties a week etc. Well I hit that inevitable brick wall at the start of last week.

I was feeling a little unwell after my party two saturdays ago but put it down to having not eaten since lunchtime. Wrong answer! Come monday morning i had a raging fever of 40 which lasted until friday just gone. Bye tuesday afternoon I had been hospitalised and ordered complete bed rest. All sort of things were going wrong with me - to be honest was a little scary.

Please, please, please take time out. Not everything has to be done 5 minutes ago. I was putting way to much pressure on myself physically and mentally and it took its toll.

Please learn from what happened to me - being hospitalised for exhaustion is no fun. Mind you some of the hallucinations during the fever where rather amusing!

Kelly, it's great to hear that you are now stopping and enjoying every moment.

I too were at this point a year ago, party after party, hardly eating (not that you could tell lol) racing everywhere, placing everyone and everything before me until my body went into shut down.

There is life after all this...a much more peaceful, calmer and really a much more reality focused life.

Glad to hear that you are on the up.

Take Care and remember to do things for you.  Take time out, people will wait

Get well Kelly.

I too was told by my Dr that I was pushing myself too hard. His advice was to remember  take a lay day and do nothing but let your body heal itself. I do this when I feel I need to now and it actually keeps you more productive in the long run

Hi Kelly,

Wow i am a little behind in the posts on here and hadnt seen this prior to speaking to you earlier in chat. I now understand you need for a nap.

I am so sorry you have been so ill. I am glad you are on the mend and that you do get plenty of rest.

take it easy.

Kelly, that's scary news! I'm glad you've come to the realisation that life is too short and you need to take care of yourself, but what a shame you had to be so ill to get there!
My partner was much the same and I've been driving myself mad trying to explain to him everything he was missing while he was working like crazy. We watched the movie "Click" thinking it was another funny Adam Sandler flick, but there's a real moral kicker and he's finally slowed down and is spending more time with his family and is a lot happier and calmer now.
If you haven't seen it, I'd recommend having a look, I think you'll be able to relate :)
