OMG

The local newspaper ran an article on the cubs as over the last school holidays they had their trailer and over $600 worth of cans stolen from the scout hall. As a result the cub leaders phone has been ringing off the hook with people donating cans amongst other things. We had a call from a Real Estate agent who has donated the services of an auctioneer for the day. All of the items that have been donated will be auctioned and there will be heaps more advertising through this as well.

Our Market Day is going to be fantastic with the stallholders we have and now the auction too it should be a great day for all.

I am really looking forward to meeting all of the lovelly ladies from here on the dayas well.

The Local Real Estate agent is putting up the billboard in the next 2 weeks so the advertising is starting already. I'm really looking forward to it and am sure it's going to be a great day.

Bumping this up as it is getting close now and there maybe some newbies to this site who are interested in attending.

A reminder to those who haven't confirmed to please do so by the end of this week or you will not be included in the advertising banners which are being printed early next week. It would be a shame to miss out on some free advertisement.

Hi Michelle,

Everything is going well apart from a few saying that they were going to be involved only to let me know in the last week that they're not. It's a bit disappointing as we knocked back other similar companies cos we didn't want to have too many of the same sort of product. Not to worry tho as we have 12 confirmed and paid and another few who I have contacted to replace the ones who can't make who will confirm this week.

The billboards are supposed to be up this week. I will check it out on the way to Cubs tomorrow night and let you know what they look like. We are contacting the papers and local schools this week to organize advertising through them and I am e-mailing a radio station on the morning of the event who I know broadcast events Sat and Sun mornings. Posters will be going up next week as well.

The kids were on the front page of the Leader about 3 weeks ago as well but unfortunately they didn't advertise the Market Day. They said they would closer to the event. Shame it won't be on the front page again tho. It will most likely be in the Community Notices.

Hopefully with our advertising it will be a good turnout but with things like this you can never tell or predict what will happen. 

I look forward to meeting all of the people from this site who are helping to support our kids and hopefully it will be a great day for all.....

Everything is well and truly on track for this event now. We are having a final meeting on Tuesday night to sort out the final details. I will PM, e-mail or phone all involved the following morning to let you know what time the hall will be opened for set-up and any other info that you need for the day. Fell free to contact me if you have any other questions that need to be answered before then.

The billboards went up last week, they are huge and will hopefully catch peoples attention.

I look forward to meeting everyone on the day and would like to take this opportunity to thank them for supporting our kids in their fundraising efforts.

Everything is organized for Saturday and it looks like it's going to be a great day. It's supposed to be 31 here on Saturday so it will be a warm one as well.

I have contacted everyone involved to let them know of times and what's happening on the day. I did get one or two answering machines so if anyone has any Q's they need answered please feel free to call me.

Oh I know its so annoying isn't it when you have cancellations at the last minute - maybe those people could try and get someone from their team to fill their spot (I am having this with Pink Ribbon on Sunday) but the consultant is helping me out so as not to let me down!!
