Your biggest sales at 1 party?

Discussions : General discussion : Your biggest sales at 1 party?

MJ78 wrote:

Wow! Can't believe it but yesterday did my highest sales at one party eva. It was my sisters in laws bridal shower and I got a whopping $1888 in sales. Very excited. That amount with only 12 people attending.

So just wondering, what is the highest party sales you have done at 1 party????

aussiemumof3 replied:

Hi MJ78,

My biggest sale at one party was $950 with 10 people and 4 outside orders, but $1888 is excellent, keep up the good work!

I think that it all depends on the people.  I did a party on the weekend with 22 people and 1 outside order and it was a disappointing $530 dollars with 1 booking.  It was a Friday night with wine and they were very loud.  I don't think they could even hear me, even when I had to shout!  Oh well, some parties are good and some are not so good.

Kelly replied:

Congratulations both on great parties! Both fantastic result.

**Aussiemum, while you may be disappointed with you party on the weekend, remember that a $530 party is better than no party at all because while your kit is sitting idle you are losing money. I would probably have joked about the noise and the wine - "with all the fun you are having you are making me wish i wasn't working!" may have got them thinking about what it would be like to have your job. jmo

My biggest party...... my most recent would be $2500 and 4 bookings.

MJ78 replied:

Kelly that is a fantastic party amount. Well done! See I'm still in awe! Something to keep working towards...............

aussiemumof3 replied:

MJ78,

I forgot to add that I got 2 bookings out of that party and from those parties I am still getting parties!  Thanks Kelly, you are right, at least I did get $530 and 1 booking, better that not working!  That's what I like about this website, everyone helps to put things into prospective.

P>S> I also had a glass of wine (he, he)

SaucyKath replied:

Hmmm this is a really hard one really.  Its like trying to compare oranges with apples really.  For example, in our range the most expensive item is just $89.99 but I do consider our commission to be one of the highest available.

For example if one of our consultants holds a $500 party - thats a nice little pay of $175 - but if another PP only pays 20% comm. then a party for them has to reach $875 in sales before they get the same commission.

I'm imagining that theres a few members on here not wanting to reply to this post as their sales really can't be comparable.  Maybe we could put whats the most amount of commission you've ever made from one party?

Congrats to ALL of your achievements above!   It's a pretty good "industry" this Party Plan caper isn't it!

reggie replied:

Mine was almost $1900 in sales with 2 bookings! and both bookings from there had sales of over $800 each plus bookings! A good circle of people to stay in!

jazzyjools replied:

I'm still waiting for a big one most are around $500 which is not huge but we have very affordable items starting from just $3.50 so your money can go a long way when you come to a Bali Dreaming Party.  The thing I like is that the bookings just come to me I rarely have to ask if people would like to have a party.  When the big one comes I will be very happy.

High parties and Low  Parties - THEY ALL ADD UP AT THE END OF THE MONTH TO MAKE A WAGE.

Highest party    $1671.   This was awesome.  One lady alone bought $950 . We work on 50% commission..  that was $800 for a couple of hours work..

One of the girls in my team did a $3000 show.  This particualr group loves the big heavy bling bling type expensive sets, and they bought heaps.....

love2party replied:

WOW!!!!  There are some great sales out there.

I have been very fortunate and recently I have had 3 HUGE parties....$2857, $2720 & $2505.  I  live in a semi rural area 20 minutes from the city and they were all where I live...it was great.  My commission on these parties was over $1700.

Most of my parties average around $1200, so yes, the above 3 were fantastic.

Leonie replied:

HI All

My biggest sales were 1300 and i was really happy with thta. I did however have a really good month of 14,000 which i was over the moon about.

Gizmo185 replied:

Hi Ladies,

Well I have to say after reading your posts I am totally blown away! Ok I seriously need to know your secrets on how to get those $2000+ party sales! Fantastic!!! I myself have only been doing pp for a about 3 months but my largest party was last month $1100 which I was estatic over. But I am happy to get the $300 ones, its all money in the bank. Would still love to know your secrets though! Annette

donna0469 replied:

I did $2000 and 5 bookings at a coffee shop, and my smallest was $450 and 1 booking which I wasnt really impressed by seeing there was 20+ people there.

love2party replied:

HI Gizmo

I am afraid I don't have any secrets.

Our company party average is $900 and our party average in Canberra is $1100.  I too have a party average of $1350.  I just find that everyone loves the product and seems to spend up on a few items at a time.

Don't get me wrong, I do have lower parties as well.  Last week I had a $450 party.  I suppose you have to take the good with the bad.

Good luck with your future parties.

My biggest party was $3600, and I recruited the host and she got 4 parties booked that night.

other then that, my average is $1000 and 2 dates at parties.

PASH replied:

wow I cant believe some of the amounts people are making. my largest party atm is 1,417.20 with 3 party bookings.

LLADVISOR replied:

I think that it depends on what you are selling and the prices as they all vary.

I had my highest sales the other day of $647 and i sell educational childrens products. But a person selling homewares would probably do that at almost every party it all depends on what you sell and what your higest priced item is. Different parties have different prices and commissions .

FoodDude replied:

Hey Sarah,

Read the post SOOOO Angry under Off My Chest and you will understand why !  I have said that I will put Tuppaware (or some misnomer !) in all of my posts from now on, to support those demonstrators that have been copping a hiding from a nasty piece of work that has been dobbing them in saying that they are
advertising on this site !!!!  Once you read it you'll get my drift.

Congrats on your weekend too !!! It's great to get big sales and I know that you TUPPAWARE girls do it consistently.

Cheers

PS   Put your leftover Foodie Goodies in...... you guessed it.......TUPPAWARE

chocolateaddict replied:

I agree, it is hard to compare. I am with Chocoholics Anonymous and the majority of the range is $6.50 a bag. So, it takes a hell of a lot of product to shift to get huge parties.

I average around $300 but have often had them in the $500 range. My highest one to date was $1950 - that is a LOT of chocolate! lol Admittedly one of the guests ordered $1400 worth for her companies christmas hampers but hey, still money in my pocket.

I am on a pretty good commision, but as the product prices are pretty low compared to most party plans I don't "rake it in" as some of you do. But, I love the product I sell and am very happy with the company. :)

FoodDude replied:

How many of you work out how many people you need at a party in order to get a decent amount in sales ?  Do you work out for yourself your average sales per head ?
I find that his can really help when you are hostess coaching (it can give you a level to work at if you are offering your hostess an extra incentive) so that you can get your hostess to aim toward a certain number of people ?  It's not foolproof, but it can mean that you can estimate your income.

PS  Foodie Parties Products are similar in price to CA.... We start at $4.95 for a spice mix that makes 10 dips and go all the way up to $50 for a Salad Bowl and Salad Servers.  Getting my hampers required me to think outside the box and look at how the customer's business could benefit from doing hampers with me now.

Cheers

Melbell replied:

Chocolateaddict - I was just about to post exactly what you wrote!  I'm newish to this and have only had 6 parties but sales have been between $250-$300.  I'd love to know how you get $500 parties! lol.

I'm also aware of how far I travel to parties.  As chocolateaddict said, the commission is good but the product price is low.  Then I have to consider the cost of petrol (twice, to deliver the orders).  So I'm starting off by limiting my area to a 1/2 hours drive away.  I'll see how that works out.

It's hard to estimate average sales per head.  I've found that usually the majority of people buy four or five bags of choccies and there's always one lady with a glint in her eye who goes absolutely berserk.  I'm trying to push gift boxes as well to increase sales.

But then I'm in it because I love the product and have a ball at the parties!  I don't need to make a living at it so I couldn't be happier!

broadmere1 replied:

Hi all,

After reading this topic a few days ago i decided to most my poll.(visit polls)  As the couple of entries above have mentioned it is very hard to compare companies because of the price difference in the range. With sketch kids, items start as low as $6 and no higher than $40.  So a Mum can dress one child in maybe 5 items for under $100 or even 8 items for under $100 but i earn 40% commission on every item and no sales targets need to be reached to achieve this. Plus i love it.

Cheers,

Margie
