I thought I would share this great buy with those who have not read their Woolworths (not Big W) Catalogue this week. This is a QLD catalogue. I do not know if other states have the same specials.
$25 for a A4 laminater (save $15)
It is a great little machine and well worth the $25.
Cheers

A laminator comes in very handy!!
Just beware of the box of laminating sheets from BIG W, they come in a yellow box (about $15 box), they are slightly , only very slightly bigger than A4, so when you put them through an A4 laminator, you have to be exactly online square - there is no room for error or you end up with a big mess!!

[ExMember148], i know exactly what you mean!!! However - i personally, find that these sheets are better as they get a better seal around the edges - but then again, i do have an A3 laminator too so i've never had the issue of not fitting properly.. hm.

Yes I have an A3 laminator as well for this reason.
Also, the other thing to consider is, if you do buy these pouches, you might always have to use them, otherwise a normal A4 sheet is slightly smaller and will look out of place/wrong size etc in a display/folder. Sometimes you may have to trim them to get the 'correct' A4 size for display.

I had the A4 Laminator in my hand to buy in Safeway yesterday..but after reading some comments l put it down again....
Have others used the A4 laminator with success...as it does seem like a great buy but would like to be sure first..
Hate buying something and then having to fiddle and fit, etc....
Also l have terrible compulsion to keep all thinks unwrinkled etc...so would hate to have to fiddle too much..it would just frustrate me..
How are you going with the A4 laminator Janine/ any problems???

I have a xyron machine. It laminates, makes stickers and magnets. You can do any size you want and it does not use any electricity.
I got it of the shopping channel, but have seen it and the cartridges available at my local scrappbooking shop.
All up it cost me about $120.00 with each of the three cartridges. This was a year ago and I still have heaps left.

My local Woolies has run out and they have put a raincheck on it for me when one comes in.
So which is better, A3 or A4 laminator?
ExMember148 replied:
I have burntout 2 x A4 . I am a laminating queen, laminate everything. All my kids school certificates etc etc. Newspaper articles, and then all party plan stuff as well.
So I upgraded to an A3 - I haven't laminated over an A4 size - but I love the extra width. Also, now you can buy 12x12 pouches from Woolies for your scrapbooking sizes. The A3 one from Big W is very reasonably priced, especially on sale. I kept my receipt and box as well, in case I had any drama as I know Big W are fantastic with exchanges.
You can use any brand pouches - *it was just the yellow box from Woolies that had that margin of error size that you had to be careful of. Does this make sense.
Personal preference but I wouldn't go down a size now. If you can afford the extra few dollars, go A3 for sure!!

Hi Kathy,
I just love my little A4 toy!! One day I will upgrade but hay like [ExMember148] she uses both. I am laminating my catalogues as they do not have loads of pages and we only put out 1 catalogue a year. Laminating them will save me heaps of money. My girls just love it too. They have decided that they are going to make placemats, bookmarks, christmas decorations and drink coasters with their artwork for chrissy presents so that they can use the machine!!
As I said I will buy a A# down the track but for $25.00 it is a bargin and well worth the outlay.
Cheers
