I send out my monthly newsletter and any invitation to special events via post to those that don't have email and I was wondering how long I should do this for if they never seem to acknowledge,  place an order or book a workshop with me

* I hope I post this in the right section

This is tough one because you don't want to be wasting your time or money.

Before I give you an opinion I would like to know if you call the recipients make sure they have received it? Even if it is just to ask for feedback - what did they think of it?

Hello Kelly,

I do call the receipt but every 2 months not every month due to a time thing as I work full time as well as doing Stampin' Up!  There response is that they like my newsletter and say that it is great to be kept up to date with the current specials etc and in time they will place an order or have a party but the time is just not right for them at the moment.

I hope this answers your question and thanks for your reply

Kelly replied:

I only send out four newsletter a year - summer, winter, autumn and spring.

In these I tell them about new products, specials or any programs i am running personally. I also let them know what I have been up to. Build up the relationship. Perhaps you could include an open invitation to a workshop at your home where they could come along and see the new products for themselves - takes the pressure off them. If people see the products first hand they are more inclined to want to buy them or to book with you. It creates and emotional attachement to your product.

At the time i send out the newsletter I tell them that I will give them a call to make sure there havent been issues with their products etc. In between I call three weeks after they have received their orders and then 3 months. These service call continue to build your relationship. Always start by asking how they have been. How are the products, etc. they are especially impressed if you can ask about their exact products. In my case I might say "How have you been enjoying your layering collection? that was in fragrance number 19 wasnt it?" its the little things that end up making a big difference.

I hope some of this has helped in some way. extra offers and incetives to book could also be included
