I am always looking for alternatives to 'home parties' and I was made aware of 'shopping nights'.
I have heard of these nights being held at kindy/childcare centres, but on speaking with another consultant from down south -found out that Offices have them too! -eg. local councils.
Is anyone in the know or partake regularly in these events??
I would love to hear from everyone, especially from those in the Gold Coast and Brisbane south areas.

Sounds a little like the "Wine & Cheese" night I originally was thinking of before our event became so huge and turned into an "Expo"

I've been to a couple before as fundraisers for kindies, etc, but usually it's more the case of "who you know" when they have these events - ie, mothers at the kindy who do pp, or make their own crafts, etc, to sell. Good to do if you are trying to get your face and company known, but I haven't found them to be great with sales, etc.

I guess if it was really promoted as a FUNDRAISER for the daycare/kindy, etc. then this might help with sales - especially if it was made into like a big Christmas Shopping Night or Mothers Day, etc. etc. Having each attending Consultant pledge so much % of their sales perhaps - or so much $ for each party booking, etc. etc.

I have been to a couple of trade fairs at kindy's the first was ok but could have been better the next year they combined it with a cent auction and it really went off. Just need to make sure there is time between people buying their tickets in the cent auction (then buying closes) and the auction starting. the inbetween time is whe they look at the pp businesses. Every business donates something as well as outside donations. While the cent auction is on we packed up. It was a great night and everyone did well. But it was the cent auction that really attracted the crowd.
Hope this helps
