Discussions : General discussion : CORRECT FORUMS

Hi all, and this is just my humble opinion - this is not aimed at anyone specific. And hopefully this will help some of you out, specially when you are new and not sure where to go or what to do.
1. Browse around for a few hours first. Don''t post - it is very tempting !!! See what each forum is about, and then post in the correct forum.
2. Your first post - should be an introduction. In your introduction you just need to tell us a little about yourself, where you are from and what company you represent. How long you have been doing party plan etc. Please avoid from advertising in your introduction - it can be a real put off.
3. General Discussion - well it''s just that - general. Anything and everything BUT no advertising or too much company talk please, there are other areas for that.
4. Search facility - this is a great resource. Want to know something about e-parties for example, knock it into the seach facility and you will get lots of information. Try a search before asking a question and you may be surprised with the answers you get. Then if you can''t find the answer, ask away.
5. Shameless advertising - ok, here it is - go for it. Shout your heart out. Tell the world. Everything and anything about your company, promotions, specials etc.
6. Motivation and quotes. Again, please avoid using advertising or promotions in here. This is for inspirational quotes and quips. Something you may of seen or heard that made you stop and think - even if just for a moment. It might brighten someones day.
7. Tips and tricks. Again this is kind of a general area - tips and tricks for party plan in general. What recruiting tricks have you used to build your business ? NOT what recruiting promotion you have currently.
8. Party Games - this area is for games suitable to play at parties. New games always welcome.
9. Forum fun and games - something silly, something to beat the boredom blues?? This is a good area to occupy (waste) your time.
10. Off your chest - a whinge and moan corner. There is no need to point fingers and you can be quite general in here. If you just have something to get off your chest, this might be the place for you. A bit of road rage today - share it, it helps!!
11. Adults Only - sometimes a bit rude, but often quite funny. If your joke or game is a bit risque for the general public, pop it in here and then people have the choice to view or not to view.
12. Starting your own party plan company - been thinking about it, want some feedback. Post in here and see what others have to say.
13. Owners only forum - password protected - ask and ye may be told, hehe.
14. Party swaps and catalogue swaps - again NOT an advertising area per say. Feel free to ask for catalogues or to offer your catalogue/party swap.
15. Want your own company forum - pm Peter (mr PP aka partyplans) for details. Then you can discuss company specific ideas/products etc in there. However, don''t become a recluse, remember your friends on the outside world too!!!
16. ENJOY YOURSELF AND POST POST POST
Finally, discover the private messenger, this is a great way to communicate to others, there are some things that just don''t need to be posted on a public forum and can be sent via pm.
I hope this has helped someone and that you may now even feel more comfortable posting!!!
