most stalls are gone - only interested in one company from each field. EG: skin care etc - gone, the organiser does this already.

We'll be there! It should be a great night. Tina's putting alot of work into getting these noticed in the newspapers etc! We're looking forward to it!

I emailled a request for more info to the organisers last week and still have heard nothing :(
What a shame! It sounds like it would have been a great event to be a part of and UCW fits in with the woman-power theme quite well.
Never mind!
ExMember148 replied:
Hey Zammy
Not to worry, INTIMO is going, so UCW mightn't be 'allowed'. http://www.partyplan.com/forum/topic.php?tid=2477
So get on to Hel, friend of the wonderful jenlerose and organise to go to the Bald Hills one!!
Zammy replied:
I would have a serious issue if that was the case Julie, as we don't actually compete with Intimo. For starters they don't sell clothing, only lingerie and there's no way in hell we are in the same league as them with the lingerie we sell. Their lingerie caters to a different clientèle to ours.
I have actually arranged with Hel to have a stall at the Bald Hills event, but I would be very cranky at being excluded from this event without even having the opportunity to explain the VAST differences between what UCW offers vs what Intimo offers.
I just think it's very unprofessional to provide contact details for an event, then not reply to contact that has been made.
ExMember148 replied:
Hey Zammy
I know what your saying, I was just guessing. But that's 'there' rules and well UNDER wear is UNDER wear.
ExMember148 replied:
Did anyone do the Saturday night one at Maroochydore ??? Or did anyone go to it ??

I would also like to know how this expo went....
Was it enjoyable? Was it busy? Did it lack anything? Details please!!!!

My DL attended as I had a wedding then, and from what I hear it was a pretty good night. Nearly 200 people attended. It was advirtised well in local newspapers etc. It was their very first event and for a first event, was fantastic. I was very skeptical after attending the PP Expo that was held in Morayfield which I think maybe 10 people attended and then that whole Mel issue where she just ran off with our money, so I'm really happy this one went off as well as it did! I think a BIG congrats to Tina is in order and I think they'll only get bigger and better. The next one is on this Saturday night in at the Burpengary Community Hall if anyone is interested in attending.
I think the only thing that was lacking (which I was told about) was consultants needed to get out an entice people a little better, make their stall more interesting and actually be excited when talking to people. But again, that's all part of learning and attending these events.
Tina is very open to suggestions so I'm sure if people had issues to suggest to her that she would love to hear from you. I haven't met her IRL yet, but she seems lovely.

ExMember148 replied:
Sorry but no positives from me re: SHE expos. Organiser is very hard to get along with and very unorganised. Does NOT reply to emails. Big learning curve here for these to be successful for party planners.
kim025 replied:
LOL Saucy Kath, I wasn't attacking you personally there, and I don't think you have any idea who you are even talking to here, in regards to a happy disposition! LOL Whatever.... I'm not posting to debate this rubbish with you, I was just offering my experience with the SHE expo, and I was happy that people came and that the event went ahead.
This is just our experience, and obviously there are people here who aren't happy with how it has been run, and that has nothing to do with me, As a stall holder, we were just pleased that the event was advirtised well and people came. Our "happy" & Approachable" stall met some fantastic people and the outcome of the day, was what we'd hoped for.
SaucyKath replied:
Well great to see your DL made her site the other night happy & approachable. And NOPE didn't take your post as a personal attack at all - especially since I was only one of the organisers & wasn't even home for the lead up to this event Re: advertising organisation, etc. etc.. I arrived home 2 days before the expo to see that none of the planned advertising had been done while i was away. So it was all out of my hands. Just wanted to show another side of the story and confirm that there was plenty more than just 10 there.
Good luck with the next one.
StampinUpMichelle replied:
I was wondering how the SHE expo went last night at Burpengary?
Did many people attend? Was there a good variety of Party Plan Companies?
Look foorward to hearing more details!
scentedcandlelady replied:
Hi what a buzz last night was. We got excellent leads a few coffee appointments for recruiting, and 2 confirmed bookings... and that's before we phone the others who were interested and didn't have their diary. Well worth it.
Not sure how many people went through but we found we only slightly quietened down near the last 45 minutes. It was great.
We are doing some more.
I have done different types of expos but found this one great and got more leads than all the other ones I have done so for me and my friend it was brilliant.
I felt that it was well worth it. I know a few people had a few negatives about it but you can't please everyone all the time and it is what you put into it yourself what you get out of it.
Also if you spoke to Tina the orgainiser she can only change things if she knows what is going on...
but we are certainly doing more..
Can't wait for my coffee appointments with the lovely ladies we met...
hope this helps
Julie
StampinUpMichelle replied:
Hello Julie,
Thanks for sharing about last night - good to hear that it went well for you - Congratulations on your new recruits
kim025 replied:
I second what Julie said! Last night was awesome! Not sure of the numbers through the doors, but it was a good crouwd! We met heaps of people, booked lots of workshops and have heaps of leads! Not only a successful night bussiness wise but also a LOT of fun! My downline is doing the Gold Coast event and can't wait! and we're definately looking forward to Carina!

I just want to add here, that I have tried and tried on many occassions and find this woman to be very unapproachable. Also she does NOT reply to emails in a professional time frame.
Tina replied:
Hi All,
Tina here, the organiser of the Shopper's Haven Expo's. I have been reading the feedback and I felt I needed to post my own reply and actually defend myself a little here.
I have contacted Julie from [ExMember148] directly regarding her recent comments about me but wanted to address all of you.
Firstly, Julie's complaint stems from the fact that the full 3 SHE's were not available to her from the start as we had another Adult Product company attending. She was contacted straight away when this situation changed and we had a suitable vacancy for her business.
As far as me being unapproachable, I am just amazed at this comment as I am anything but unapproachable!
Secondly, I always endeavour to reply to all of my emails and messages within a maximum of 24hrs and this has been the case each time with Julie. If this is considered to be an unprofessional timeframe and unacceptable when I also work full time and have a family, then I apologise.
We have had a fantastic response to the first 2 SHE's both from stallholders and the public. I have made sure that I see each stallholder at the end of the night for feedback (either good or bad) so that we can continue to improve our expo's.
Yes, Shopper's Haven Expo's are an exclusive event - 1 company per type of business. This has generated great feedback from the public as they don't always want to be looking and 4 or 5 of the same thing. There is also no entry fee to the expo's for the public so they do not feel cheated for their money. Obviously this does not please everyone, but then what does?!
For the girls on here who have supported and defended me, thank you. For those who have never dealt with me before and have questions, please contact me directly on 1800 623 028 and make up your own mind about my professionalism and approachability.
Shopper's Haven Expo's are here to stay and so far they have been a great success and I look foward to dealing with more of you as we progress. Please don't be put off by one persons opinion, come and see for yourself how our great events are going!!
Thanks Tina
WorkingMum replied:
Hi Tina, nice to see you are now on here to answer our questions direct about these events. I read early last week in a paper that Emma Page was going to be represented at your Expos. Why is this EP consultant allowed to represent a company that does not allow their consultants to attend such events? Its almost like the EP consultant has "illegally" (for want of a better word) taken up a Jewellery position that could've been used by another Jewellery company that DOES allow attendence to these events. No doubt as the organiser of this event you a totally aware that Amway Affiliated companies are NOT allowed to attend such events.
ExMember148 replied:
My posts were based on my own experience, not of anyone else, so therefore each person can take from it what they may.
FYI - that is not what anything stems from, it stems from the fact that after sending an email, (sorry 2 or 3 emails) and not getting a reply for over 48 HOURS. That is directly what my comment is in relation to. Nothing more, nothing less.
Tina replied:
Mel from Emma Page Jewellery has done numerous party plan expo's so I am sure she would know if her company would allow her to do these or not. I will contact her and let her know your comment and ask her the question myself. When I take on party plans I do not ask the question about whether their Head Office allows them to exhibit at expo's as this has nothing to do with me and it is totally up to them to clear this with Head Office.
WorkingMum replied:
Tina are you able to give us a list of which companies are being represented at your expo in a reply here? I've read that you are keeping it to one company per type of product so I think it would be good for those wondering if their company can or is being represented there. Also have you made it that - one consultant may only represent one company on the night? I've noticed some PPers represent more than one company on here. Thanks again for starting to post here after being a member for a couple of months now.
Tina replied:
If you want to have a look at the party planners who are attending the expo please look at our website www.shoppershavenexpo.com.au A lot of these party plans have booked into further SHE events, most being different consultants. When one of these party plans cannot attend I will be sourcing other party plans to come aboard. If you have any other questions please call me directly as I do not visit this site every day.

downunder replied:
Hi Tina,
While this doesn't affect me personally as I am not in the service areas, I do have a question. Is the reason for only one Party Plan per type due to lack of space? I have done shows for years and rarely see that. I can understand only one person per company, but not per type of company.
Even though companies may offer certain types of products, eg: clothing, jewellery, makeup, adult products etc, there is a lot of variety and differences between them. Surely offering more choices would only enhance the customers experiences?
Just wondering.....
Julie
kim025 replied:
I was speaking to Tina last night and she said she won't be coming back onto this site, so if you have any questions for her, you're best to contact her directly.
I can't understand why she is getting such a hard time about a simple executive decision by the two organisers of these expos? It's their decision what they do with their events, they have done what they think is right for them and the type of events they are establishing. I know not everyone can attend, but that's what happends with most events, someone always misses out....Simple as that. I think it's time everyone moves on....
downunder replied:
Sorry - I was only making a comment as an outside observer that does several different types of shows a year for the last 15 years. As I mentioned, I'm not in the area so it doesn't effect me at all. Believe it or not , I was trying to be helpful not critical as in a food-for-thought.

Hello all,
First I must say GOOD ON YOU TINA & TRACEY for going out on a limb and organising these expo's I was at the first (maroochydore) and got be a customer at Burpengary My up line did burpengary. It is great and ALOT of long hard hours go into organising these types of events. I had been waiting for something like this to come along for awhile now. Now I'm hoping to go to Toowoomba and Bundy in the near future. There are other expos through other organisations coming up. I'm excited that Qld finally want expos. I got plenty of ideas on how to present and entice new customers from other party plans plus I'm happy to see other party plans I had never heard about.
A big thumbs up. I didn't have any issues and was really pleased just to have the opportunity to attend. I can't wait for next years round of events and can budget and plan for the return.
Cheers
Katrina
