It should mean that you will receive an email notification when someone replies to that thread.

I'd been wondering why I don't get any email notifications, then can't remember where I posted (as I'm still new here). I thought it would've been something 'automated' like the phpBB forums. but I don't think it is.

So if you want to receive notifications of replies to certain threads - then subscribe to it

If you aren't getting email notifications check your "junk mail" box. I found emails telling me I had pm's and topic replies in there the other day!

Hotmail and Gmail (the two I use most) tend to decide kinda randomly what is to be filed in this maner!

Mine are going through okay, but I was only getting notifications for PM's and not threads, I didn't realise I had to clikc on the subscribe link to receive notifiactions. a lot of other forums have it automatic or easier to select. Whereas I coudln't find anything in the members CP here (until I noticed it at the bottom of the thread) DOH!
