Hi Miriama,

I'm not sure where you are located and this idea may suit other baby product orientated PPers ....

We had our Twins in Toowoomba QLD & when we were settling afterward in the room one of the nurses brought in a welcome/congrats bag full of goodies from businesses - flyers, samples, newsletters, coupons - maybe you could see whether hospitals in your area do the same and add something to it. 

Also we had an area at our Antenatal Class where brochures/leaflets were placed.

Good luck instarting your new party plan business!  With getting bookings...start with family and friends.  I also went around to businesses in shopping centres and showed staff information and then asked for party bookings (with a bribe of course!) and found that was successfull!

You're only limited by your imagination!

Welcome.. why don't you start with family and friends and see how many will book fo ryou.. start at the front of your address book and work through it... then sit down and write a list ..baby hospitals , paeditrician offices and even community centres might be useful..

Together with a good friend, I too have just started my own pp company (in Brisbane) for preggie mums, babies and toddlers.

Our target market is so specific and I am finding that our oppotunities of finding a "target rich" environment are limitless.Here are a few suggestions:

We are currently doing fundraisers for daycare centres. At one centre alone, there are almost 90 families that now have our marketing brochure. Free advertising with sales to boot!!!

Flyer drop locations:

Baby change rooms, coffee shops, playgyms, take away shops, Libraries with childrens' reading areas, child health centres, Community centres, Shopping centre notice boards, haidressers, nail salons, doctor/dentist/pathology waiting rooms,maternity hospitals, obstetricians, acupuncturist/fertility specialist, etc.

I am placing flyers on my own car when I park in the parent car parks at shopping centres, and people do take them. (It is illegal to place them on other peoples cars.)

I have also requested permission from staff at the above mentioned locations before leaving flyers.

Ask members of your family to take a brochure into their workplace tea room. Next week I will be visiting my previous place of work and letting everyone there know what I am doing now. (over 200 employees there).

I have spoken to a local childrens playgym/cafe and arranged some reciprocal free advertising. We are also going to be attending several market/expos over the next few months.

no I have not had any experience in pp before but my mum has and she is my consultant at the moment so she knows what shes doing on her end of things but I could always do with some extra help.
