Came across a couple of interesting ideas recently and thought we could start a "Brainstorming Thread" on Recruiting/Sponsering.

So if any of you have any tips you care to share, great tried & tested methods, flops etc etc post them here :)

Not my idea (but a great one all the same) actually copied from an American Site -

Take a basket, and in it, put a recruiting flyer for your company, an overview of your company money making (commissions, downline bonuses.. a basic explanation sheet), other information for potential recruits, plus any incentives you are offering your own personal recruits, an opportunity video for your company (most companies make these for sales to reps), a copy of Ilene Meckley's book "YES, YOU CAN HAVE IT ALL", 2 bottles of soda and a bag of microwave popcorn.

After playing a few games at the party and getting comfortable, pick up your basket and say "I've been challenged to share this basket to someone tonight. It's the key to your success. Enjoy a night with your hubby, a bowl of popcorn and a great video! Then I'll need to follow-up with you in a few days, just to see if I can answer any questions and pick up my basket, so I can continue sharing this wonderful opportunity." If you have no immediate takers, offer an extra incentive to the first person who takes it. Obviously, if someone shows interest and asks all the right questions, offer it to that person first.

When you present the basket to her, pick a time when you can call her (2 - 3 days max) to follow up and pick up your basket. The book, video and basket will be returned to you, and the beauty of this is that you have already scheduled a follow up call, so you don't have to have that dreaded fear of follow up.

I really believe to keep it simple in my business.

I have noticed lately that women and the last 3 that i have recruited joined on the basis that  I did not do a formal speech  or presentation.  I do not play games as it did not make any difference to the shows. The majority of women have not got confidence in the early stages of party plan to do these sorts of games and presentations and when they see you doing it they will be afraid to join party plan.

So when it comes to recruiting, keep it simple, ask every woman one on one  if they are interested in party plan and if they want more info. if they do place them on a mailing list and when they are ready they will call you. There is no need to call them...... I never do.... but just keep sending monthly correspondence.... that they can read at their own leisure.

I do mention the job in my talk within the presentation.  I pretty much tell them why I joined etc.  Then a bit later on I show 'tools', that are on my products which gets people wondering and asking questions.  I am far from pushy but it appears to work.  In the past 2 weeks I have recruited 4 new girls.  This gives me 6 and I am very close to being a Unit Manager.  Woohoo!!!!!!!  I can't wait.  It is sooo exciting.
