When you are working?
At the moment I wear a white business short with black vest and black 3/4 length tailored pants, I always wear the same style pants but sometimes just wear a white business shirt.

I wear long black slacks and a pink shirt with colar. As this matches the company main colours.

For my previous parties, and my upcoming one, I tend to wear mostly all black. Not only does it make me look older (I look very young for my age), but I find the jewellery stands out better as well

Hi,
Always "dress for success"....match my jewellery for the day with what l am wearing..
sometimes black pants , skirt and boots (in winter)..with a good quality top, sometimes black, blue or red....Just varies on how l feel....
But always dress well.

I love to wear bright colours....
It's always cheery to look at and it lifts the mood anywhere I go!

As I do a hands on craft demonstration I dress for comfort. I usually wear either a nice pair of jeans or black pants depending on the day and my mood. I have two tops that I wear. One is a Denim chambray style shirt with long sleeves the second is a Teal colored T-shirt. Both have the Crafty Kids logo embroidered on them.
I choose jeans most often as I am doing craft and I often get ink etc on my hands, which ends up on my jeans!!! Another point for me is I often end up doing my Demos kneeling on the floor at a coffee table, so jeans are most practical.
I am however thinking of investing in a nice apron to wear to save my clothes a bit LOL I am a messy creator.

My biz partner Suzanne and I went out and chose a couple of matching purple tops ( purple is our company colour) to wear as our "uniform". We found nice ones at Jacqui E.- Professional looking, but not "officey"( IYKWIM) . I team mine with tailored blank pants, Suzanne wears an ankle length black skirt.
At the moment, Suzanne is pregnant so she wears a lycra black singlet underneath her purple top , and buttons up the top half of the blouse only. She also wears a black "Belly Tube" (one of our products) so there is no chance of her bare belly poking out below her top and over her black skirt.
I have decided that my pearl and diamond studs are now my "work" earrings and I had my hubby whip me up a nice pearl & diamond pendant to complete the look. ( he is a qualified jeweller)

I wear black tailored pants and my Partylite top. (We get a new one at conference every year) Sometimes, depending on the weather, I will wear a tailored jacket over the top.
Gail replied:
I guess as I sell UCW thats what I wear,
Im a size 18/20 & I find I get so many compliments on what I am wearing, I sell heaps of that outfit plus, Im not sure but I think, some of my customers think if it looks good on me it will good on them.( Not sure if I explained that right)
I usually pick a pair of black dress pants & what ever top is in the latest catalogue I like....
Plus hubby gives me compliments to, so I guess if you feel good it shows to others.

As Kathy said " we dress for Success"
Last night I wore a gorgeous tiger print jacket with a black skirt and black boots with gorgeous silver jewellery which made the outfit.........
I always wear minimum $500 worth of jewellery on me.
Sometimes i will wear a black dress but have shoes that stand out and then match the jewellery with the shoes.
eg, picked up from myer burnt orange wedge heel shoes with topaz stones. coupled with a black outfit and matching accessories is stunning and classy. ( oh and do not forget the handbag)
I try and change my look on a regular basis as i work in the fashion industry aka jewellery.

When representing your business either at parties or even at Team Meetings, deliveries, etc. etc. I think you should always;
CKCath replied:
I try not to wear my own products LOL, mind you I do tell all guests that the ink will wash off their hands, clothes and walls.
Yes everyone should dress professionally when presenting their plans, and for each company/product professionally is very different.
I aim to look neat and tidy but ready to get stuck into playing with crafty bits, including glue, glitter and ink... I could not do as Marina does and wear lots of jewelery, high heels and a hand bag.. nor could she turn up wearing my jeans and embroidered logo shirt!

We had our annual convention last month and I organised a team shirt, handmade to our own measurements. It's a black polo style (no pocket) with the team colours of pastel pink, blue and green around the collar. The pink stripe in the middle is wide and has the word "scrapbooking" in it.
Our team logo is on the left, where the pocket would normally go. With our black tailored pants - we looked fabulous (if I do say so myself). It unifyed us beautifully and even other consultants not in our team, commented on how nice we looked.
We will be using them as our "uniform" so to speak - when doing demos, expo's etc. We love them. Wish I could post a pic for you.
Actually, if you want to see - click into my website (link bleow). I have the team pic on the front page.

Hey Cath, no doubt you DO end up wearing your products by the time you leave a demo or a workshop CK is just a little different - whereas we'd wear our products TO the venue you just wait until the end to wear them HOME!
And YES I know I can look fantastic in a pair of jeans dressed up with the right shoes, jewellery & top - and no doubt because I know how great I look it makes me all the more comfortable and I work to my full potential! Not to say I'd wear jeans everytime - but I know I can still look professional even out of my business attire as it shows I've put great effort into the way I look.
Rach - this is a great topic to bring up! Well done xo

I use to wear either a pair of long pants, or if the weather is nice, a skirt with a nice shirt. I normally wear bright coloured shirts like red, light blue, etc. I also wore a rainbow coloured hair tie that had stars on it. Very colorful.
Patricia.

Thanks PP. I just tried and got in, but TLC is having a consultants clearance sale at the moment and quite a few girls are having access problems. Might have to wait until the initial rush dies off a bit. LOL.
I've attached it here - I hope I've done it properly. LOL. The collar and logo can't be seen very well, but you can see how it ties the team together and looks professional. Also, black suits most people, looks slimming and the logos and badges styand out well against it.

I agree with all said that you have to dress for sucess and look nice. Whereas, you have to be very careful on any outfit that can be classed as a 'uniform' by logo, by similarity etc. It then blurs the line between being an employee or an independant consultant. (see ATO website)
