Moment of Choice

I read something yesterday that I found very interesting. It was from Viktor Frankl - a survivor from the death camps in nazi germany.

"We who lived in concerntration camps can rememberthe men who walked through the huts comforting others, giving away their last piece of bread. They may have been few in number, but they offer sufficient proof that everything can be taken from a man but one thing; the last of the human freedoms - to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way.

And there were always choices to make. Every day, every hours, offered the opportunity to make a decision, a decision which determined whether you would or would not submit to theose powers which threatened to rob you of your very self, your inner freedom; which determined whether or not you would become a plaything of circumstance...."

To me a moment of choice is a moment of truth. Its the testing point of our character and compatence. With all the factors that act upon us today its important to remember we have the freedom to choose. We can either react auomatically, allow the circumstances or people to control us or make a conscience- directed decision. Its our choice.

We are ALL responsible for the decisions we make.We are all responsible for our reactions to any given circumstance.
