Ok - this is frustraing me.  We got a new computer - running vista.  The problem is my mouse function.  I have been into control panel blah blah blah, but sometimes it just won't right mouse click for me .  Why is this??  Then it will ?? Has this happened to anyone, any suggestions ??

ClaireHogan replied:

Chances are it's not the mouse but Vista. For some stupid reason we chose to get our laptop with Vista instead of XP  and it's the worst decision we ever made

ExMember148 replied:

Don't say that, though your not the first one, and yes it does have its glitches!!!  But this is driving me nuts, one minute it works , one it doesn't!!!

noone replied:

Julie, a temporary solution for your right click would be the key which is next to the right CTRL button (under Enter).  Looks like a box with a cursor on it.

Just click where you want and then that button.  To open a link click and hold on the link then press that button.  I just experimented with it and it works for me.

HTH

Simone replied:

I have been running with vista for two months now and no probs, so maybe it isn't that. I don't have another answer for you though, sorry !

ExMember148 replied:

No that button thingy didn't work for me.  Update - it works in office, email etc.  But not on webpages, links etc.  Is it a setting thing?

ExMember148 replied:

this is getting worse.  no when i click on a folder to open it, it won't open!!!  what is gonig on??

still can't right click..............could it be just the mouse doing all this weird stuff ?? should i get a new mouse (this one is only a week old!!)

ExMember148 replied:

I just re started the computer and it is working ok now, but for how long, who knows??

Why did it do this, this is irritating me.

scentedcandlelady replied:

Hi Julie,

just a couple of things I would try... take your mouse off the system and reput it on...

swap your batteries ifit is cordless or if you can get the cover off use your nail file and gently rub the connectors jus tin case it is sticking.. otherwise sorry I have no idea...

good luck
