Hi All,

I just saw a post in a different forum that mentioned that Toys @ Home is closing at the end of June.  Can anyone shed any light on this as to whether it is accurate and what happened???

If this is true, I feel awful for our members that are with them. How dissapointing it would be for your company to close shop.

Regards,

Andrea.

Hi Andrea,

Yes, Toys @ Home are closing their doors.

Orders need to be in by the 25th of this month or there abouts I think the date is.

It is all happening very quickly for them.

Very sad indeed.

Indeed that is very sad

But I would surely feel a little 'unsure' about placing an order with them with this knowledge

Why are they closing?

Hello Everyone.

Im sorry to say, but yes its true. TOYS@HOME are shutting up shop as of the 25th of June. Its all a bit sudden. I have only found out today myself.

The reason being, is because it didnt do as well as they hoped after 3 years of running. I am a bit sad and shocked by the news i must say. I was just starting to do well and i was really starting to look at this as my own business.       Oh well.

If any one would like to order anything before the 25th, just pm me your address and ill send a cat to you

A Very Sad Patty..............

Oh Patricia....what sad news for you.....especially when the business was just taking of
for you.

Wishing you all good things for the future....

Kind regards...Kathy

marina replied:

oh my goodness, I would be devasted if that happened.

imagine all the hardwork you put into your downline and then it is all gone.

that is why when joining a company you need to look at management, how long they have been around and even the debt levels of the company.

take care

marina

ExMember148 replied:

or alternately, look for a company that rewards YOU for all YOUR hardwork.  No downlines/uplines necessary.

Hi there, that would be extremely sad for anyone, really, I feel for you, it must be a difficult time. A lesson to learn for everyone, hope all goes well....

Thank you all for your good wishes.

BUT............ Im not going to far. I am currently looking for another pp to replace TAH. I enjoyed doing it so much that so im going to do it again. Im not sure which company i will sign with, there are so many to choose from, but i will find the right one for me. At least when i start my new adventure, i have a better idea on what im doing. This has been a good experience for me.

So ill still be here at the end. I'll post how it all goes.

Patricia        Im still smiling.

ExMember148 replied:

That sounds like there could be a song in that...........so i'll still be here in the end...........

Good idea, a wise man (or woman!!!) once said, go forth and .............conquer!!!!

Nigeytah replied:

I had been with TAH since thier 2nd catalogue.....sadly I saw this coming & have a WHOLE LOT more I COULD add....but I wont!

Like Pattie said...the TOP GUY decided he hadn't got what he had hoped for out of the 3yrs of running time & simply (or not really so simply!) made a call on it.

Pattie, what ever you decide to do next....do let us know. I am close enough & have moments of being the party plan queen in my area! So I may be able to host a party for you!

CKCath replied:

Good luck to all of the TAH consultants finding a new "home" I am sure you will all find something fantastci to replace it with.

On a second note, I have known one of the prior TAH consutlants since she was with Popcorn. You girls are a little luckier this time round, when Popcorn folded they had no warning at all, they had orders that had been payed for and goods not delivered. Popcorn went under with no warning and the consultants were left up that proverbial creek with their hostesses and customers asking what was going on. It cost many of them money at the time. When TAH bought the failed company they decided to give it a try for three years, guess what.. it's been three years! It is a real pity that it hasn't been all that the boss man had hoped for as it had real potential.

As I said good luck with your searches for a new plan, I am sure you will all find something you love to replace TAH with.
