A Huge Congratulations to both Kath and Rebecca for a very well run and successful day on Saturday. I really enjoyed myself and met a lot of wonderful people, it was great to be able to put faces to the names. All the partyplaners there went to a great deal of effort with their displays and everything looked great. I got a lot of leads and and even a couple of bookings but the real benefit will come as time goes by. To those of you that were a little disappointed with the turn out, i would just like to say that the girls did a great job on what was a first time event and next year will only be bigger and better and i do hope you can all continue to support them. Having spoken to others, i believe the idea next year is to have a committee (so as the work load can be spread out, as it does take a lot of time and effort), with each person being responsible for a different section. I have already put my had up to help as i know a couple of others have also indicated, but of course the more that are involved the less effort required by any one individual. A lot of idea's and help will be needed to inform the public as this is one of the biggest and hardest jobs of them all.

So again, congratulations and a big thank you to a job well done.

You can give yourselves a pat on the back. Also thank you to the others who helped on the day, you all know who you are.

Congrats to all involved.

It sounds like it all went well.

SaucyKath replied:

Hi Lyn,   thank you so much for the positive comments about the expo.    It means a lot.   I of course know how much better the day could have been, but by all means don't think it was a "dismal day" like some others have since said.    So thank you once again for your great feedback. Kath PS Will hopefully put some photos here later

Being just a looker on the day I got to admit I enjoyed myself.  Was only going to be there for a hour, but ended up being there 2 1/2 hours.  I saw alot, and learnt alot.

Would of loved to go, i wonder if it was on, on the same week i was their for my conference holiday which i got from my company with all expenses paid mind you. Anyways would have loved to go, looking forward to pics as i have never been to one.

Thanks again :)

I would also just like to THANK EVERYONE who attended on the day - it was wonderful to see such a POSITIVE RESPONSE from the party plan contingency. I hope that one and all enjoyed themselves as much as possible. Thanks to all those who helped in every possible aspect to get the event organised.

partyplans replied:

Yes, congratulations...

It would be great to hear all the positives and negatives everyone has had with these expos (and how to improve them)...what works / what does not / what is the most important etc etc

Other things like: How much are consultants willing to pay to have a stand ? (more funds for advertising) could be explored.

SaucyKath replied:

Hi everyone, as promised heres a few photos from the day - not many I know but at least it gives everyone an idea of what great products and companies we had there.    I can't believe I didn't take a photo of my own site though!!   LOL   Sheesh!!   Oh Well!!

Rebecca, when you get a chance please let us know how much we managed to raise for the Starlight Childrens Foundation.    I know not all 44 companies turned up on the day - but they did all pay at least $20 so I'm guessing we will be able to donate a good amount to SCF.   I strongly believe that next time part of this money should be be spent on paid advertising.   I know its not giving the charity as much, but at least it would create more traffic.

I've spoken to a few more people today about the expo and everyone has been very positive.   It seems all of us that took the time to hand out catalogues, flyers, hold a free entry draw on our table, etc. etc.  have walked away with some really good leads.   So it just goes to show that if you take the effort to promote yourself at these events than you will get returns  - it may not be on the day but they will come in over the coming weeks.

Here's the wonderful CandleKaren at her site.....

Some of CandleKarens goregous products.....

As you can see our venue was quite full....

Some of Angelicas display.     The smell from this table was "to die for"......

and Ms Angelica herself!!!  ............

Here's Assenti's lovely display

and some more shots of her beautiful products

Stampin' Up's display even dedicated one end of their table to "creating" while they were there.   Great idea !

Regards;    Kath

Assenti replied:

Well I would like to say I had a fantastic day, and yes there may not of been quite as many people through as some had hope but I think overall Kath and Rebecca you did a fantastic job.  I got some ok sales and a few wonderful leads that I'm sure will pan out with time.  I also had the opportunity to meet some of the faces that are here on line and that in it's self was great, just having the opportunity to chat with different party planers and small businesses for me was a plus.  Oh and I won a raffle prize to(thanks stampin up I will use my gift wisely LOL).  My one suggestion would be to still chare $20 for the tables and an extra $10 towards advertising I still feel $30 is a small amount to pay and $10 is a small amount to have your business and the event advertised.  Thanks again I had a fantastic time and I know Kayleen from Ella creations enjoyed herself toatlly as well.

Hi Everyone!!!!

I heard all about your Party Plan Expo on Saturday night after being at the markets all day with a stall set up trying to generate bookings & recuit leads........... Fellow consultants & I where so dissappointed that we hadn't heard anything about the Expo & we missed out.....

The Expo is a fantastic idea & would love to be involed in any future Expo's...... I agree that party plan consultants that want to expose their bussiness at the community Expo's should all pitch in and help especially in the advertisting so word gets out in to the community....or else charge stall fee's so that they cover the costs of advertising...........

FANTASTIC IDEA!!!!!!!!!!! Whens the next one???????

I will keep my eye's open for any future Expo's!!!!!!!!!!!!!
