Hi All,
I've had the flu for the last week but I still have that heavy feeling in my chest and the echoey feeling in my ears :( I have a party scheduled for tomorrow night :)
I feel great (apart from chest & ears) and sure I'm no longer at passing the lurgy on stage (we had twins 2nd birthday party on sat when I was at my worst and noone seems to have caught it - touch wood)
I'm currently taking ease a cold - severe cold strength tablets, cough mixture, losengers (sp?), drinking green tea and honey, lemon and water.
Just wondering if you have any suggestions on what to do over the next 24 hours to try and alleviate some of the uncomfort.
TIA, Rach xx

Its at times like those I whip out the essential oils - lemon, peppermint and eucalyptus and use them in every way possible - baths, inhalation and burners. Seems to work for us.
Whereas my aunt on the other hand swears by a bottle of rum to do the drink!
Kelly replied:
oops!!
should have said to do the trick not the drink... But i guess since she's drinking it it works both ways

Oh Rach I thought you'd be better by now!!!
Try having a hot shower about the same time today as you would tomorrow getting ready for the party. See how long the effects work, Kev and I were both sick a few weeks ago but we each found a really hot shower 'revived' us me for about 2 hours, him for about 3 before we sunk again...

Marina,
I know in this day and age it is hard to do.. but try and rest... leave the housework until a day after your party and spend the time giving your body a rest.. It sounds like it is telling you to slow down... a little..

I've recently heard that rubbing vicks vaporub on the soles of your feet and popping socks on over night will work wonders.
I've yet to try this out (can't stand sleeping with socks on) but thought I'd let you know :)
Hope you're feeling 100% soon!
Sounds like everyone could do with an immune system boost! Lots of veggies and more sleep folks!
