I guess my first question would be - What is it that you are not enjoying? That will make a big difference to what answers you need.

Jennah replied:

I feel it's not as professional as other direct selling company, also not as structured with rewards, also my director she has a very laid back attuided and if some thing happens she will make do. She had orgnised a ladys night at a church and told us all the things we can do, and we got there and we weren't alowed to do any of what she said. I am thinking maybe going into bags or home ware. not sure would like to know whats out there i have been searching on google with not a lot of luck.

Hi Jennifer, what don't you enjoy about Mary Kay? Is it the product or doing the parties?

Ther are plenty of other party plan companies out there...Here is one that is fun and very rewarding....

Horny Little Devils Adult Toy & Lingerie Parties.....Hehehe

You know its never too late to look into other PP companies. You have to be happy with what you are doing in life. Have a look around this site you will find lots of different interesting companies...Do you have any intrests that may inspire you eg Jewellery, Home Decorating, Linen, Cookware, Colthing (womens or childrens) Adult Goodies.....If you don't like doing the parties maybe you could see if you could just sell out of different catalogues.

Good luck darl....I'm sure there is a party plan company out there with your name on it.

Hi Jennah,

Thats really a shame you don't enjoy your Mary Kay business.  I have just recently joined Tupperware and I am really impressed with how they look after their demonstrators (rewards etc) and the hostess gifts are sensational.  If you would like to know more about Tupperware, please feel free to PM me for more info.

All the best with your decision,

Jo

Hi Jennah,

I used to to do Mary Kay ages ago and I found it really hard and did give it up in the end.

Then I got into a company called Larome Perfumes ( now non- existant) and that also did not work for me. Then I was doing Avon catalogue selling and the $$ were not there for me.

I have now been with a jewellery company for 15 months and earning more then a fulltime worker in the corporate sector. I am no longer with my Accounting job and doing party plan fulltime, but only working part time hours.

I can honestly say that it has been very successful for me and the passive income from the recruiting side has been in the thousands for months every month , and I  am heavily booked with an amazing team of my own.  and yes it has all taken me by surprise and still cannot believe it at times.

So basically sometimes we have to go through a few party plans to find our niche in life. Do your homework, do your research and ask your self what you want out of party plan and just take it from there.

If you would like some magazines on the business and see me in the top 20 sales and top 20 bonus cheques world wide  just pm my and i can mail them out.

Good luck,

Marina

Just a thought....

I would take a look at the DSAA  website - direct selling association of australia. Has a comprehensive list of different party plan companies. I think the link is www.dssa.com.au

Good luck with which ever decision you make

LoveMyLinen replied:

Hi Jennifer

Interest in a product will happen if you feel passionately about what you are selling.  You will probably find that the members here will not run down or not recommend a party plan becuase they don't like it.  This is because we are all so different and find different reasons for joining a particular company and we all like different things.  I would suggest that you look into a few different party plans, host a party or find a consultant on here and see if you can watch a party or two. Attend some team meetings and see what goes on behind the scenes.  This will give you an overall picture of the company, and let you see what people are achieving and get to have a look without committing yourself first.  This will also give you time to check out the company and their products.  But do make sure that who ever you join is a member of the Direct Selling Association of Australia.

What ever you choose you really have to love it and believe in the product.

Good Luck

Tracey

Em replied:

Hi Jennah,

My name is Emily and i do pp for Ezygifts/Flaschengeist.  It is a new concept in party plan something new and never done before (that i know of).

We specialise in spirits, liqueurs, wines, oils & vinegars.  We have a large range of gorgeous quality bottles, basically the customers choose what shape and size bottle they want and what flavour liqueur they want in it.  It gets made up and sent directly to them- which means no delivering orders!

Its alot of fun and i get all the support i need.  As you can imagine the products sell themselves!

If you would like anymore info send me an email.

Good luck, hope to hear from  you.
