SERIAL PARTY PLANNERS

Discussions : Off your chest... : SERIAL PARTY PLANNERS

Here is my whinge, moan, gripe, b**ch, for today.

(pulls up soapbox to stand on)

I am totally over SERIAL PARTY PLANNERS.  These superwoman/man that do more than one or two (at most) party plans at same time.  If you can't commit to one (2) and do a good job of it, what makes you think you can do more than one (or 2).   Stop wasting other genuine partyplanners time.  Grrr

Oh and BTW - I hear you ask, why would you let someone join if they were already involved in other company/s.  Well, sometimes you don't know the full story up front and are not told these things.  But it all comes out in the wash.

I put a LOT of time and effort into training/supporting/helping consultants and when they just do not recriprocate any of this back, I just get so angry and deflated.  They really make it hard for the next genuine person that wants to make a go of it.

(Ok - whinge is over - there is no need now to take a personal attack, this post has been made in a general format in off your chest, opinions welcome - attacks not!)

Julie I completely agree with u.............YOU ARE SPOT ON

I think that if u have the time/professionalism/management-business skills etc to be able to handle more then say 2 party plan companies at any one time then this is fine...............

BUT not to take on one after the other after the other and NOT do anything with any of them & not do them seriously this makes the company whoever they are with LOOK STOOPID & unprofessional when people can see you are not doing thisng properly......................

I myself have multiple things too BUT they all fit together like a glove LOL...............and people who know me well........KNOW that it all gets done under the one banner & there is a purpose as well as reason as to how i do my biz & the set up behind what i have created & MY HARD WORK now is slowly but surely paying off YAYYYYYYYYYYYY

Once again I TOTALLY AGREE with u on your comments

Hi Julie,

Our company does allow you to do 2  party plans  but only until you become a sales leader. when you are a sales leader ( join up 5 ) you then get bonus cheques from the company and then you need to give up the other party plan company.

Also if you do a fundraiser you cannot have our company merged with another company on  the day.

ExMember148 replied:

It's not so much the current one that they may wish to do.  I find its the past 2(0) they HAVE done, and usually BURNT b*ttoms in prior.  And you often don't find this out until w-a-y down the track. They are such good story tellers!!

It must be hard for a Manager that knows one of their consultant also represents another PP Company.   No doubt these such Serial Consultants use the information provided by Company A's Manager/Upline to also benefit their parties/business for Company B.

I bet anything though that the Serial Consultant DOESN'T share with her Company A "team" the tips that Company B provides.   I imagine that even Team members knowing that their fellow team member is representing another company hold off on sharing tips with them too.

At least we can only hope that these Serial Consultants are not Managers of their own teams.  How would you feel if your Manager suddenly started representing another company as well?    I know I'd be thinking ah shit whats wrong with the company if my manager is looking elsewhere (perhaps I should be too) and also that my manager is no longer totally dedicate to our company.

I know as a manager I wouldn't be giving much time to the people who are representing more than one pp. I would be working with the ones who are committed, I am not into time wasting.

LydiaM replied:

It can be tiring enough to do the 1 party plan yet 2 or more.

I guess, some people have just got to try a couple to find the right one that suits them, their situation etc.

Where have all the people that want to give PP their 110% gone? (I know there are a few in here lol)

indicolina replied:

I have 34 consultants under me.  I honestly dont care if they do other party plans.  I feel that you can do TLC and do other things.  I do.  Its a very flexable company and blends well with other products.

I also think that being apart of other party plans can only enrich your experience and knowledge on how to have your own style of things.

TLC allows and welcomes Hobbiests who maybe order once every 4 months.  So I do have girls who do nothing for months, but then decide the time is right and do something with the business.   So far the hobbiests are way better consultants than the so called workers.  I prefer the hobbiest, they order and promote the business with their heart.  While the "workers" promote the business with the thought of money.

If you love a product, you will sell the product.

But as a Manager, wouldn't you really have the obligation to give the same amount of support and training to every member of your team  - no matter who else they represent.?

This MUST be frustrating when you train them though, support them and show them techniques give ideas, etc. etc.  and then they just go and use it to advantage on another PP company.

ExMember148 replied:

Just to clear up this original post of mine, what I was referring to ......... are the party planners who do company A..........then company B............... then company C ......D...........E.........F.........G.......H.........I   and so on.

A lot of the time burning bridges in between, and usually the current company they are joining knows nothing of their past.........

So WHY have they been with so many companies???  - cheap kits ??

And sometimes for the bigger companies (especially American backed) they can bounce back quite easily.  But for smaller companies (and usually us Aussies having a fair go at it) it can take a lot to bounce back from being ripped off again and again and again.

Lilygirl_wytch replied:

I can totally understand where you are coming from Julie, that when it comes to people who have been in so many pp's and not made a good go at it, or done the wrong thing, then they move onto another one all the while leaving havoc behind them.

But I can also understand how if you have a great business already and you want to add a little something to boost sales or incentives, then that's ok too.

I guess it comes down to the consultant.

In my case my main business is in skincare & cosmetics, but then I offer my customers a choice of extra's like jewellery, soy candles and living silk.

So long as you structure your business well, and commit to putting in 150% loyalty to that product, then the rest is just a bonus.

I guess my advice is make sure you make a successful pp business first before adding anything, and also make sure you can commit to giving it your best with a plan for success.

Hi Julie,

Our company does not allow you to do 2 party plans. It is simple as that.  Choose us only or do not come on board.

Thanks for clearing that up Marina, I was wondering why I haven't heard back from you!

I am currently looking into doing a second PP.  I love curious kids, love the products, prices and flexibility, but believe I also have the time and MOTIVATION to do another one.  (Non conflicting with Curious Kids).  If a company won't let me do two PP's how is that going to give me the flixibility to run my own business(s)?  If it is 'my' business shouldn't I have the control over what I sell and to who?  Isn't that the whole idea of pp's? Flexibility?

I live in a town with a LOT of money (to give an indication the average 4 bed 2 bathroom home rents at $1200 per WEEK - imagine what they are getting p/a!!), and not every one of them have kids.  If I took on another pp then it would cater for people without children, without age restrictions, but there is no way I will give up Curious Kids for the sake of 'because we don't want you to'.

But yes I agree, the serial ppers (a, b, c, d etc) are frustrating.  People should be upfront about it, I have told my upline in CK, and have told everyone I have enquired with about CK too.

Sorry for the rant!!

Hang on a minute there.. I did reply to your email. I reply to everyone as soon as I can and I never prejudge anyone.

I have sent you 7 emails and each one was a reply to your questions.. They were all quite long and informative on the business.  You replied back each and everytime.........

I did some searching on my emails and I have come to the conclusion you are the same person.

It is Bianca From Karatha  - curious kids.  the email was sent to Tonybianca............... and you replied back.

The dates  we started corresponding  were from the 26/8 which is 2 days later from when I received your initial enquiry.

Are you able to explain ?

I hate misunderstandings and I always reply to every email that comes my way..

biancaj replied:

I do apologise Marina, I re-read my post and it does sound like I was attacking - which was not my intention.

I was just trying to say - and I quote from one of my emails:

Thank you so much for your quick response.  I am pretty keen on it, depending on whether or not I can continue with curious kids too.  I will await your response on that one.

You told me that you think you know the answer and would get back to me.   I was seriously waiting on your response.  Maybe I should have emailed you again to remind you that i was waiting. I don't know.

I apologise again, as I never intended to sound b**chy.

I personally think you are a credit to the pp industry - and even though you have said you don't work hard for it, I tend to disagree.  You do work hard, you succeed and you are rewarded accordingly.  We could all learn alot from you. (and from your posts, we do!).

Now I know that I can't do a second PP, it is a shame as there is a lot of money to be made up here, and the credit goes to you for making me realise that.

I hope I havent offended you in anyway.

marina replied:

Phewwwwwww!!  What a relief.. All is cool!

The answer to your question is you can do Fifth Avenue Collection jewellery  , but if you are doing a fundraiser for example you cannot have the 2 party plans together on the same table.

Also once you become a Sales Leader ( join 5 people), you will be entitled to bonus cheques, but not if you are with another  party plan company. Then you have to give up the other party plan completely to get the bonus cheques.

I will amend the other post as it is not entirely accurate.
