I just need to vent "a little".....I have been off line for over 3 days....for no apparent reason...dodo just wouldnt connect me...despite having broadband...lo and behold l call them today...they tell me there is nothing untoward going on, on my account...so l decide to try and log on yet...again.....and here l am.

How frustrating....Especially as l am running a business and am lost without my pc...and l really missed logging on to this site..and missed catching up on everyone's news...........

Anyway l feel much better now l have vented, and much better that l can catch up on all the chats..., etc...

I'd go mad without my net for 3 days!
If anything like that happens with me, I only give them a couple of hours before I'm on the phone, I just do too much business online to have my connection messed with.

Dodo just don't go there.  We are with Dodo and have been having problems with our ADSL for sometime now.  Speaking to their customer service is like banging your head against a wall.  You end up with the same result - a headache.  I now ring the sales number and refuse to be put through to a person in Manilla.  I insist on speaking to their Melbourne office.  I actually sent them an email yesterday saying if my ADSl wasn't working by today I would be going to the telecommunications ombudsman tomorrow.  Still no ADSL.  We are paying $69.95 per month and using dial up.....They told me if i cancel my service I would have to pay out my contract_ I don't think so since they are not giving me the ADSL service I am paying for.

Tomorrow I will be taking it further.  We have also been waiting for our modem to be sent to us since 7th April 2006, yes 2006.  Great service-NOT.

That is my little gripe......

Oh Tracey...l hear you....l cant wait to end my contract and find another carrier........and yes l to - have to wait for my contract to expire...it sux.....
And if they put me onto yet another person that doesnt reside in Australia l will scream..OMG.. it is so frustrating..l am up and running on line again...but if you dont hear from me for 3 or 4 days...you know they have stuffed up my internet connection yet again..

Anyway,,,that's my gripe...l had it now l am off to have an absolutely fabulous day...hope every one has the same..

We use Optus for our broadband internet connection. Never had a problem yet.

(and for an extra $5, you get unlimited dial-up too... so if you also have a laptop/notbook you can get internet access from anywhere on the move using a normal phone line too)

Hi All

I have had some kind of win with DODO.  I rang the telecommunications ombudsman.  Then they gave me a refernce number and I had to call DODO resoultions.  Wow they were even in Australia.  I spoke to a man there told him all the problems we have had.  He wasn't really believing on the modem issue.  He said he would have to check the voice recording of when we first joined, that was fine with me.  I don't know if he really checked or was just bluffing to see what I would say, but the modem is being sent to us.  They are so genorous they are going to waive the delivery fee....  They have guarnteed me the ADSL will be working by Saturday.  They are also crediting me the 4 months of ADSL access , at $69.95 per month that we have paid.  He said this could go back on my credit card or advance payments, I said credit card.  Now I plan to bill them for the modem I had to buy because  their one was never sent.  I think I may be pushing it but how was I expected to use the service if they didn't send the modem, and now they have admiitted that was their mistake.

Once my contract is up I will be going else where. I would have liked to have gotten out of the contract now, but was told by the teleommunications ombudsman rep that I should accept an offer if they make it then go from there because if we have more problems again then they will have no choice but to release me from the contract because I have worked with them on this problem.  So really i guess it is now a waiting game for them to stuff up again.  It might not happen overnight but it will happen.

Thanks for your advice...which l am going to follow tomorrow and try to speak to someone in oz.....after l speak to the ombudsman...yes l have been offline again with dodo for about 4 days..again...............OMG so frustrating....can't wiat for next feb to change my contract over to a more reliable carrier..(if there is one!!!)
