Accepting Credit Cards

Discussions : General discussion : Accepting Credit Cards

Hi there,

I am just starting as a distributor for a US based party plan business in Australia.  The company I distribute for does have a credit card facility but it means the custmomer gets charged an international transfer fee.  I would rather them be able to pay me directly with the credit card so the fees are not so high. Can anyone offer assistance on the best way to accept credit cards - my bank will not offer me a merchant account as the turnover is not high enough for their standards.  I was hoping for some sort of virtual terminal but am unsure of how to tackle it.  Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Melanie

There is also payal and paymate, but they only operate online and your customer needs to have an account with them as well.

I have been using westpac batch advantage for over 8 months and could not be happier.

I write down their credit card details and then process it online on my computer at home.

the money is in my bank account the next day. The transaction fee is under 1. something. percent.

I love it!!

cheers
