AHHHHHHHHHHH!

As a responsible dog owner and lover,

I really do look and spoil my two maltese to financial ruin - however it does not help when there is a flea out break all year and predicted to be for the remaining of this year to buy Advocate or Frontline.. I choose Advocate as it does worming too, but $52.00 every 1.5 months geee, bloddy fleas.....

And while on the subject of Dogs!!!

I have no idea what children do to floors - but do you think after cleaning my polished floor boards, that they stay that way for any length of time... NOOOO WAY...

I love Peppie and Carter soooooooooooo Much and I really don't mind but all I seem to do is bloody clean...... or fork out expenses for them.

I'd love to place a spell on my house to make it self cleaning...

Richard

Zammy replied:

awww Richard!
You're a devoted daddy, that's so cute!

Kanga replied:

Ahhh Jules, you know me so well.... yes, its lovely to "hear" you Richard and ANA, bragging about your much adored fur-kids (you just wanted an excuse to talk about 'em, didn't you....its ok, I DO understand!)  Well for all the fur and muck they cart into the house, I'm sure you get the lov'in back ten-fold when they look up at you with those big adoring eyes...!  My boys (each weighing in at around the 60 kilo mark) enjoy spending their days tormenting me by alternating between doing laps in the pool, then running inside and shaking their wet fur all over the place - I just watch, sign and then start mopping!  I say "thank goodness" for wooden floors - a whole heap easier to clean than carpet - definatey the floor of choice for a dog people!

ExMember148 replied:

ok, now u grossed me out................they swim in your pool?????????????????????????

I haven't heard from my furry friend yet tonite, here's hoping they been nibbling the green juice!!!

cheryl replied:

Wow Kanga,

there not dogs, there miniture horse's. What bread are they?

Kanga replied:

Jules....here's hoping the innocent little mouse ran away before he found your bowl of green juice .... poor little Mickey Mouse.  We have a great range of georgeous mouse toys/houses etc if you decide to turn the hunted into a pet!

Hi Cheryl, yes, they are rather larg(ish) but the bigger the better in my doggy-world!  Josh is a beautiful big golden Rhodesian Ridgeback/Lab/Horse type thing (saved from the pound so not really sure what else has been thrown in there) and Maverik is a tall, handsome Rotti - the biggest, drooliest softey ever!  Love my boys!

Kanga replied:

PS:  Yes they swim in the pool!! They get hot too you know!! PS:  Apparently (according to the pool man) they are no different to a couple of people being in there, just need to have the extra sock on the filter box to catch the fur....! (Come over for a swim Jules, its fine, I promise....!)  (They have a boat each that they enjoy lazing on as they drift round the pool snoozing....) (I have pictures you know!)

ExMember148 replied:

Oh Great a DOGGY brag book, now I heard of everything!!!

No I'm right thanks for the swim offer, I will just stick to dry land for now!!!

And it was NOT a mouse, it was a huge f***ing RAT I tell ya!!!

Hahahaha rofl pmpl , guess what!!! If nothing else, I gotcha talking on here at last.............scaredy cat!!!!!

Kanga replied:

Mouse/Rat...whats the diff ... all harmless cute little creatures...(unless YOUR a scardy cat!)

Graham replied:

Hi Richard,

I may be able to help you out. I am a member of Tri Nature (Environmentally friendly cleaning products made from NATURAL, renewable resources such as sugar cane)..

We have a hospital grade disinfectant called Sphagnum Moss. If you were to use 25ml in your wash when cleaning the dog’s bedding and 25ml Sphagnum Moss + 475ml water in a 500ml Polysprayer to spray around the area where your dogs gather you should solve your problems with fleas That 50ml would cost you $0.95 cents.

I have a friend who has an old english sheepdog who swears by this system. She has had no problems with fleas since using this method.

We also have a product called Chamomile Herbal Organic Concentrate. This (like all of our products) is very versatile. and concentrated. 4ml (1 pump) or about 1 teaspoon in an 8Litre bucket of water will be sufficient to mop & polish your wooden floor boards. 4ml would cost you about $0.065 Cents. Because our products are concentrates, they are very economical.

Have a look at my website at www.graham.trinature.com and if you would like some samples & brochures, just send me a postal address for yourself. And your surname to put in the address.

Zammy replied:

Richard, I can vouch for both of these products!
Not in a flea killing capacity, but as awesome products in general.
The Sphagnum Moss smells SO nice too. I used the Chamomile to do my dishes this afternoon too and what a pleasure!

FM-Fragrances-Australia-World replied:

TrendyClothes4Kids replied:

Oh I hear you with the cost of pets!!!  I swear our two labs cost us more than our two kids!!!   But oh, we do love them... and their hair MAKES me vacuum daily, which I must admit I didn't do before getting them!

I too use Advantrix, however they are due another dose, but I'm yet to spot a flea - thought about stretching it out a bit, but then just figured I'm best to keep on top of it! (sigh)  Not that they spend much time outside!!!  As far as they are concerned they would only go out to 'do their waste removal' if I let them!

I wash our girl's bedding (our big boy doesn't like to use a bed!) weekly, but I'd be interested in knowing more about the natural products Graham mentioned... will check out the website.  We too have been slowly converting in this house... maybe you wouldn't mind forwarding me a catalogue Graham if I pm my address???

Thanks, Katrina

Graham replied:

Graham Thank you so much for the effort you have gone to in arranging the samples and information, I will start to read and play with the samples tomorrow I have noticed you have written some percentages on the spag moss - can you give me some better directions here I don't want to stuff it up.

Thanks and hear from you soon

Richard

Graham replied:
