I am not sure if the Queensland papers have these classifieds, you know the fake ones that say" Make millions from your computer at home doing nothing" Just pay us x amout of dollars.
These adds must be cost effective for these people to continue to do so, and they are always in the work from home section or business oppertunities.
Would it be possible for Partyplans.com.au to run a two line advert in Sydney press?, Melbourne press and the like to gain extra people from our own states, as Queensland is booming, though not sure why the other states are lagging, and maybe even one line stating under the business oppertunities section just saying
Im guessing it would not cost a fortune, and would have to bring in extra members and not to mention possible advertising for you....

Well mine is from word of mouth. I think ages ago I was around, or not, maybe that was another pp site that was starting up. But I got hooked through word of mouth. And I guess news just travels fast in Qld!!! hahahaha

I received an email inviting our company to join...I think it was from Mr PP
Over the past 7 years Horny Little Devils has taken out many newspaper adverts, at first we had a huge responce, in fact the very first time I advertised I must have had a least 200+ email replys. If we were to advertise these days in the local rags, yes we would get a responce but no where near as many as we use to. I have put it down to the internet being so popular these days. In fact I have noticed that not too many people use the phone book (yellow pages) anymore, times are a changing...You need to come up with new advertising campaigns all the time... but hey thats business. Maybe you could approch the DSAA see if they will help promote the site. Just a thought as I am not sure if they would or not. No harm in asking, the worst thing they can say is No, but then again they may be willing to help considering your are helping and supporting the industry.
I personly think partyplans.com.au is doing really well to have this many members in only such a short period of time. Just remember Rome wasn't built in a day and US members need to help promote this site to all our collegues.

well, I stumbled upon the site thinking it was another Aussie PP site. I have found that I don't get much response from NewsPaper ads but there's no reason not to advertise on the web.
