Great idea, although you will need to have this subject closed to the public viewing. Otherwise you will have Lawsuits on your hands from Major Party Plan Companies.

HUH?  Can someone explain to me why there is a problem with us advertising on this site?    Its no different advertising here than placing an ad in a newspaper or any where else, surely??

If the Company we represent, lets us advertise as Consultants then whats the harm?   I don't understand the quote about lawsuits from major party plan companies.   Do an internet search on any party plan company and you will find some type of advertising on them.

Hi Kath,

Some of the larger party plan compainies do not let their consultants advertise themselves. It is written in their contracts that they are not allowed to put adds in newspapers or even do a web page with the companies stuff on it.

If someone from these companies do advertise their products or services, then they could get into trouble, hence there would be a problem with the site allowing such an add to be posted.

There are certain companies that I know of that DO NOT allow their consultants to advertise their product.

I was reading the previous post like it was meaning that anyone could get into trouble for advertising ?????   I'm so glad I'm with a company that understands and allows us to do such a thing - afterall advertising benefits the whole company really, so it is beneficial for the PP Company to let their consultant advertise.

I would've also thought the actual website allowing the advertising could "save butt" by advising that each consultant is responsible for the ads that they place and that it is their responsibility to check with their Company on advertising rules.

I totally agree with you.  I would have thought that companies would be all for advertising their products and services, as it does benefit both parties.

But unfortunately there are some larger companies out there that just dont allow it.  It does make it harder for their consultants to get out there.  But that is just the way it is.

So before anyone does start advertising, I would suggest that you check with your particular company and make sure that you are allowed to do so.  That way there will be no problems.

Well I believe we should still place one online to the public as long as everyone agrees only to post offers that the company allows too.  I work for Nutrimetics and they allow some consultants to post offers however they must not place it as an advertisement but like this for such as a free facial. Or a link to the nm site or information of the latest offers without an ad type of finish.
