Discussions : General discussion : Party Plan in Regional Areas

Hi everyone
Thought I'd start a new topic about PP in regional areas. Some of the things and strategies that work in the larger cities/areas don't seem to work in smaller regional areas.
So how do you go about promoting your business in a regional area? Are there any hints and tips for striking gold when digging in what feels sometimes like cement?

Good question!
It may help to know where are you located too Lauren...
Farming, Mining, or general Whoop-Whoop?
TRIVIA....
Whoop-Whoop is a small insignificant town in the bush of Australia. It is often used in the Australian Slang expression 'way out in Whoop-Whoop,' which is equivalent to the other Australian phrase 'beyond the black stump,' both of which mean 'way out in the middle of nowhere.' Coincidentally, the middle of nowhere is exactly where Whoop-Whoop is.
The town of Whoop-Whoop has exactly one post office, one church, one pub, and about ten point five houses (see note) and a total population of 46, which mainly consists of elderly senior citizens and farmers. They used to have a school, but it closed down because the school wasn't being used enough, so the one remaining student has to shuttle into the next town, Jameison (which has a total population of 93), to be educated.
Note: The point five of the ten point five houses being a hut with only three walls and a fireplace as the fourth wall burnt down during the fires of '89 and the owner, one Mrs J Egarbury, never had the presence of mind to fix it.

where are you? what are trying to dig with??? (tuppa etc??)

You cheeky thing MrPP!
Not quite in Woop Woop, but 20 minutes outside of Cairns in Gordonvale which is like a little country town, mainly residential and a few essential stores. So not in the middle of nowhere either, more like... um... well... I don't know but it's definitely regional.
And no, not digging with tupperware, Saucy Fish! Now the mental image of someone digging with a fish has got me in a fit of giggles.
So *seriously* lol any hints for appealing to country bumpkin suburbia? (and that is in the nicest of ways - I love it here!)

If I was at clifton I would be asking if I could have a permanent night every two weeks with the new turn around!! You would just probably need to hold stock or take it wth you, but that is a fantastic idea brilliant indeed.
They are stuck out there for the most part and thats how they like it......
Good idea for Naughty sales and Pamper sales I really reckon that would work and work well, the more I think about it really bloody well as alot are U.S visitors and would be using C/C so it works out even cheeper for them to buy the product in the here and right now while im in front of you, plus it could be held on the private beach late afternoon. Oh wonderful go for it give them a call... Try and get in................
Naughty and Pamper would go soooooooo well.
p.s Miessence is Australian, visitors love Australian and is branded as such and you could get a international team happening - thought I'd throw that in.
What an Idea..... Call them
