Hi all
I was just curious as to who has PP'd in a fundraiser and thought it was beneficial?
Your comments/critisisms most welcome!

I've done several.
Ive found that a market day type one doesnt work to well for me. Too many companies, not enough time to promote what you are willing to do for their cause.
On the flip side Ive done one for a local school. We held an actually party in the staff room one evening, parents were invited, they could bring guests, community members could come along too. That one worked extremely well. I offered them $5 for evey booking made that night, and 10% of retail sales. If the bookings were held within a certain timeframe that I gave them instead of $5 I gave them $10.
This one bought me 15 bookings and over $6000 sales on the night.
They were able to get the equipment they wanted which was the reason we were all there

I agree with Kelly on this one. Market days etc, are really a waste of time, more often than not people are there to see what they can get for free or win. Specific fundraising parties, do work a whole heap better. I recently did one for a social club and am still doing the parties generated from it.

Thanks ladies for your advice or input on your attempts. Muchly appreciated - I will look into further as I was a little reserved at the idea initially!
