Hi All
Well I just had to put this post up IM SOOOOOOOOOOOO Frustrated so i apologise if im venting ALOT
Ive been involved in my own business for over 2 years now PLUS ive run many other business's for other people so i can t be that dumb LOL
Now im in a situation at the moment where I was once affiliated with a PP company & due to not feeling very comfortable about some "issues" I thought it was in my best interest to pull out and since i pulled out of the company & I must say after I did, the person whose team i was in just never bothered to stay in contact (so at least I know they were probably only nice to me when i was apart of the company & then when i wasnt they didnt wanna know me) OHHHHHHHHHH well Ive learnt when people get soooooooo far ahead in a company the little people dont matter or it is just me?????
But thats not why IM FRUSTRATED I recently decided to get in touch with that person to ask a question & get info as it may help me get on track & up to date with what has been happening & help me plan etc what i would need to do & how to go about it & then I could find out whom I needed to go thru etc etc etc ( IF I did decide to take it up again - as I've had people ask me if i would consider it)
BUT I got such a COLD response & was made to feel like i was below the food chain or something with the reply i got - What gives people who are in TOP Places with a company they represent the right to make someone feel they couldnt be apart of something or could ask a question just because they hadnt placed a "product order" to stay active etc etc...........when i needed info firstly to decide what i needed to do & what I could do or couldnt do if this makes sense????
I was given info by the companies head office to say in actual fact i am still connected with that company I just havent placed an order to stay "active" but that was ok i was told when i could order then please do so & everything else can get sorted & I could get all the assistance i needed
After the first issue I had with the company & NOW after this incident Im thinking this is not really worth it & have my reputation ruined if I cannot even go to this company & ask a question why on earth would i reconsider promoting it............this may be a one off thing BUT IM sooooooooo mad & upset by making me feel silly all coz i asked a question
Anyway this has upset me as I dont like being made to feel STUPID or worthless
So I ask "WHAT WOULD U YOU"?????????????

I don't blame you for being upset by this situation. It just shows how selfish people can be.
It sounds like head office was helpful. Did you explain what your upline had done to you? This person should be pulled into line because if they've done it to you they more than likely have done it to others or will do it to others. This does not give a good representation of the company and I'm sure they would like to know about it.
Is there anyway that you could be removed from this persons upline and transfered to someone else that has a better grasp on reality? If you want to starting up with the company again you shouldn't allow this person to ruin your opportunity.
I hope you are able to work something out so that you are not disadvantaged by one ignorant individual. Good Luck!!

Yes there are alot of selfish people out there
There seems to be a very big lack of communication between this individual & the head office
BUT from previous experience if you do something to upset someone (especially when u have been in there team) & they dont like what u said or what u did or anything else for that matter they will do whatever they can to make things very unpleasant & I hope they dont do anything to disadvantage me either or i'll be even more upset
Why do people get so selfish in the Party Planners world - why does it end up with such a bad reputation??? makes me wonder whether it is not as much the company itself but the people in it......... who knows?????????????????...............
This would never happen within my company & it doesnt matter how many consultants are out there I think there is enough room for us all............the little people like me dont need to get shut out by the big top players especially over a question didnt realise u couldnt ask one anymore GRRRRRRRRRRRR

Hi anadesigns, I understand were your coming from my manager for UCW who is a reginal manager is very ignorant, she ignors my emails & not just mine either.
I love doing UCW but I dont even ring her anymore unless I realy have to & dont go to meetings unless I realy want to either because every time I see her all she does is growl, not just at me but everyone & I am not going to waste my time going to a meeting to listen to her put people down.
I live by a simple moto, treat people how you would like people to treat you......
We had a special guest from the head office over for a visit & at the very start of the meeting my manager all she did was go into this big deal and growl at the whole group of us & what she was on about I & my sister inlaw wasn't even at this meeting she was on about & put us down big time.
I felt humiliated at the guest witnessing that display, it was like look at what I can do to my consultants & how I have them trained like we are monkeys or something.
No one likes to be treated badly so I dont put my self in that position so she can, I dont do UCW for her I do it for me, its just a pity I dont go to the meetings like I did, but I live about 2 hrs drive to get to the meetings & I dont feel like putting myself out just to get bullied at.
I would like to swap managers & have one closer to me as I know their are, does anyone have any ideas & is it possible to be done, I have only been doing UCW for about 11 mths now so its still a learning curve for me & I have heaps to learn, BUT if I dont go to meetings I'll never learn.
Thanks for listening guys I've been carrying this around for awhile & I need to let it go.

WHY DO THESE "Managers" Treat there team so bad - how on earth do they get to where they are????????????? Maybe this is how...... they keep stumbling on people like us & we say nuthing & do nuthing & they treat us like crap & get what they want & move onto the next one WHO KNOWS there are probably heaps of reasons
BUT the worst thing is the Managers who DO THERE JOB so well get a bad reputation cos of managers who do there job bad..............
I am really saddened when i hear stories like yours Gail so unfair if there is anything at anytime i can do u just let me know or u simply need to vent contact me ok
You just keep doing what u do & hold your head high that u know you do the right thing & YOU LOVE what u do & u do it for u & no-one else GOOD ON YA
If anyone else has anything they would like to share???? if they have been thru the same sort of thing etc????? please do so...........................

Many managers expect their consultants to bend over backwards for them and do all that is asked - but when do the managers bend over backward for their consultants? Nine times outta ten they dont! And this ALWAYS leaves a distaste in the consultants mouth.
I am EXTREMELY lucky that the Companies I am a part of NOW treat their Consultants with utmost respect, are there whenever I need em and the managers are there at the drop of a hat for me.
So a HUGE thank you is to be said for ALL MANAGERS that do a FANTASTIC JOB with their consultants in their teams!!

I too have been a victim of an uncaring manager.
I find it's usually the ones who don't live locally that are the worst, you are easily forgotten when you aren't nearby.
My solution was to leave :)
I'm SO thankful that I signed up under the manager I did with ucw, she is just BRILLIANT and one of the most special people as well as a fantastic team leader and motivator.
Our regional manager is also brilliant and incredibly inspiring, I feel so lucky!

Hi again & thanks guys for your inputs, I feel a bit better knowing Im not the only one out here feeling the same.
I dont want to leave because I love doing what I do, Plus I wont let someone bully me around (I dont like bullys)
And I think your right Zammy I do live quite far from my manager & I also work shift work which dosn't suit her sometimes, she wants me to drop my shifts for her meetings (I need to keep my job which I love as well) I work in a hospital..........
I work my UCW buisiness to suit me which is what I thought PP is all about......
For me I do at least 1 party a week (this week I have 2) so I think I'm doing alright for me, its what I want, its my hobby my outlet from work, oh plus I do catalogues in between it just suits some of my customers.
But please any surgestions would be great.........Thankyou again guys xxx

Don't let her try to change yourself to suit her, that's not what she's there for.
It's a shame you can't talk to your regional about her behaviour, as it's a company standard that managers are to support their consultants, not harrass them and make them feel they need to change their lives to suit UCW.
You should join the ucw board on this forum, it's a great place to share training with other consultants from different states!

I have heard back again from this person but the way everything is being relayed back to me I still feel like im being made to feel so small & that im over reacting so this is why i havent sent anything back to them coz i just feel stoopid....................To be honest I wish i never spoke out to this person coz its not like it would go back to normal like it was at the beginning there would always be the thought in the back of my mind...........that i was complaing,talking crap etc etc etc............and i doubt it very much I would get the geniuine support I look for in a manager of a pp company
So ive decided not to do anything BUT continue with my big plans for 2007 with all my product lines i have & only deal with PP companies that offer everyone equal support & not pick & choose who gets treate right etc & not worry about people who dont worry about me or my feelings I will never win against the top players................geez i must sound silly to everyone but im annoyed based on principle & how people have worded certain things so there is no comeback on them & they look good & I look like an idiot etc etc
Just me having a whinge this arvo..............
BUT i do have GREAT NEWS I signd up a new consultant today My very 1st one for Le Reve & SHE IS JUST LOVELY - Real GEM & she is also going to help me with my other product lines too

I just wanted to add that i have had contact with head office of this company & it appears that the person who made me feel like an idiot amongst other things hasnt really been verbally talking to head office but only corresponding by email...............head office has now been advised that I dont wanna feel the way I do & see no point being affiliated with a company if we are to get no support & not be allowed to participate in things that other pp consultants from that company have access to until I placed an order at the very least & even then I cant get access to something that others have access to as I am not on this persons team...................so i ask u all a question should something be set up JUST for one persons team???? Do u think it is unfair to have something for some consultants & not others????? I think it shouldnt matter what place u are in within a pp company as I think we should all have access to the same as each other - shouldnt we all be equal & have the same access to things if we are all affiliated with the same pp company OR is there ONE RULE for one TEAM & other rules for everyone else this dont seem right to me..........i would think this as a disadvantage
What does everyone else think?????

At this late hour the only thing I can suggest is this...
Get you fluffy white pillow in hand and take it to the bed, and BEAT the crap out of it, and expell your anger and hurt over the matter ASAP, If you have to call out this persons name, and imagine the bed pot is their head, well do it, but just get your anger out of the way - otherwise you will not be able to truly focus on your wonderful products and your new recruit.

You are angry because you have been badly treated and not respected. Your anger is justified so please allow yourself to understand that you are not stupid or over reacting. My suggestion is to walk away from this lady. It sounds as though it is a good thing she doesn't want to keep in touch with you. If the head office is not willing to give you an answer themselves then I say, stuff 'em. Someone else will have an answer for you in some other way.
Gail, I'd say, find a new person to work under. Otherwise do what you're doing.
Bullies are bullies because they weak. Bullies are that way because underneath everything they are aware of their inabilities. You're not weak so walk away.

Mezz I appreciate ya comments......................Yes we did walk away from this person which as we look at the overal situation now this suits us perfectly fine now.........we are better as we are
We have a reputation to uphold & we only want to be affiliated with PP companies that have people on board who CARE about there team & value them
They need to REMEMBER that without the people in there team they would NOT hold the management positions they do etc - Perhaps someone from head office needs to remind them of this!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway it is all OVER & DONE with.................Im glad I made the decision I did & needed as i was never going to be treated with any respect anyway...........
WE ALL DESERVE SOME RESPECT NO MATTER WHAT WHETHER YOU ARE LIKED BY THE MANAGER IN A COMPANY OR NOT DONT U THINK??
